San Jose Bar & Grill — Restaurant in San Jose

I Came to this place with co-workers for a drink after work. When I got to the door they looked at me and immediately said I couldn't come in because I have my wife's name tattooed on the back of my neck. I laughed and asked if he was serious and he said yes I'm serious, you can't come in with a tattoo on your neck. I explained that it wasn't even gang related and not even visible from the front. He denied me again and ironically he had full a full sleeve tattoo on his arm. What type of establishment hires guys with tattoo's only to tell paying customers they can't come in with tattoo's. I was beyond embarrassed being that I'm the General Manager at my work and I can't even get into this place with my team because my tattoo. This is 2017 how can you discriminate a guy over his wife's name. I cant believe that happened to me and someone should look into stuff like that....

I liked this place until tonight. We walked in for thirty seconds and two bouncers come up to my friend and I because she tripped and said "we've been behind you all night, you need to leave because you are too drunk" how is that even possible when we just walked in?! We said we did nothing and then they grabbed us by the arms and literally dragged us outside. The bouncer that grabbed me was named Ernesto. I told him he was hurting me and he didn't listen. I have bruises on both arms now and I complained to the supervisor of SJBG. I hope the bouncers that grabbed us get fired because that was completely uncalled for. All my friend did was trip one time. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I felt like I was attacked tonight...

Its 1:17 am Theres a blonde white woman working and she got us grabbed up and escorted out by security because she bumped into use with ice cups in her hand, and when my friend reacted she claimed we attacked her. My friend is Mexican and I am Black. She pushed her finger into my friends face and exclaimed that she was attacked, but even witnesses say the bartender bumped into us. I didn’t even react to her to quick to brush ice off me. They snatched my drinks and were very rude all because of a misunderstanding.
