Seven Seas Sushi — Restaurant in San Jose

I have been going to Seven Seas when it was still Godzilla Sushi. So I have been a loyal customer for a number of years. I go there nearly everyday for lunch. During my last visit I had placed my order. A few minutes later I had asked my server if I could change my order. In the past they have been good about doing that. This time the server added on to my original order. I clarified that I wanted to cancel my original order. The server notified the chef and he said he was already making the sushi roll. So basically, I got stuck paying for everything because the chef was unwilling to accommodate my request. Needless to say I was not only upset but highly disappointed. Seven Seas will be losing a very loyal customer because of their server's mistake and their unreasonable chef. Next time I crave Japanese food I will just have to make a special trip to Japantown or walk a little...

We walked in after work on a Thursday Andrew the waitress greeted is with a smile. We were seated right away and asked what we wanted to drink.

Tea and beers came before we could look at the menu. After we looked at the extensive menu with photos of all the tools we were ready. By then, the restaurant started to get busy.

The food all in all was a success. Everyone enjoyed their rolls and even offered seconds. My only drawback was they didn't have gluten free soy sauce and only simple rolls. Most of the standard rolls had crab, tempura, crispies, or soy sauce so I couldn't try them.

Nice little restaurant. Bigger than it looks. The menu is quite large and selection of roll is good. They do carry interesting rolls. Rolls are overall on the large side. Did order a rice less roll and was really good. Quickly deep fried so the outside of the roll was cooked and the texture felt like rice. Service is fast and price are ok. They do offer food to go. We tried 4 rolls and one of them had a 1 chilly rating for spicineness so if you are sensitive to spicy food follow the rating I believe it is quite accurate. 1 chili hot but not burning.
