Paleta Planeta — Restaurant in San Jose

I've seen it online a few times. I actually went to the gallery next door to see an artist I know present some of their work. I saw that it's on the corner and walked in to try it. I LOVE paletas, especially the fruit ones. I get limon or fresa typically from the stores or the paletero. I love that Paleta Planet has fusion flavors. I tried Mango-Fresa and Mango-Piña both with taking and chamoy. It was so juicy, salty and slightly spicy 🔥. I will stop by every time. I will say that I did not have the sweet flavors and two friends of mine did and they said they were good but not amazing.

Really dope place that offers delicious and tasty ice cream bars, ice cream in scoop form and various drinks based on Mexican taste/cuisine. The drinks we all know and love (aguas frescas) have been reimagined in popsicle form ranging from the the strawberry (Fresa) to Mango Horchata! The creations are absolutely genius and they taste just as good as they sound.

The popsicles are provided in little serving plates which allow for you to add various toppings like lechera, tajin, Lucas, caramel, chocolate, etc.

The vibe is also super chill and the decor is very welcoming. The staff are super nice and the customer service was just fantastic!

The flavors here are delicious, the staff is very nice, and the set up is super cute.

Been here twice now and I think the only note I’d make is I feel like the line/ ordering setup is a bit confusing. Not sure if it’s just customer error or the actual setup, but both times it felt like there was more of a crowd of people by the register and displays than a line. The most recent time the people behind me somehow were served first and the people behind them ended up behind me and asked me if I knew how the line worked.

But again, could just easily be customer error and it is a new business so they have time to work that out. otherwise no...
