Holy Cannoli! Catering — Restaurant in San Jose

Lemme tell you a story: Once upon a time a few weeks ago we decided to brave the storm and hit the town out for a night of tomfoolery and inebriation. We're all fully vaccinated, so I felt safe enough, whatever. We are chillin' in the back of a club and we run into three lovely ladies, conversation is flowing, yadda yadda and Yelp comes up, and then one of them tells us she runs a place with her mama, come check it out sometime.

So we did.

Walking through the front door is like walking through a portal into a super cute, quaint, little restaurant with amazing decor (décor? Silly word. Silly language). That's cool, that's awesome, but man, the selections!

I got a pulled pork samsquanch (on special) and it was amazeballz! I totally forgot to take a picture because I was starving, but I did get all the sweeties, so check em out.

Holy Cannoli, yooooo!! I haven't tried them all, but the pistachio on was AWESOME! But hey, have you ever had pistachio-anything that you didn't love? Didn't think so. And these guys DO. IT. JUSTICE. Genesis-style. Oh wait, that's actually the chick's name, OH SH**T!!!!

We love this place! I’m way overdue for writing a review since we go on a regular basis, but I was prompted to today by having the amazing Not So Blue salad again. It’s so much more interesting than the standard salads most places carry. It has: mixed greens, vanilla blueberry goat cheese, homemade spiced candied pecans, dried cranberries, blueberries, raspberries, apple slices. If you’re not usually a fan of goat cheese, this is very mild and has a mellow flavor due to the blueberries and vanilla. I highly recommend!

My daughter LOVES their BBLTA sandwich - it’s her favorite sandwich out of any place we’ve been! My other daughter really likes the pesto chicken panino, which was extra good today because the focaccia it’s made on had just come out of the oven!

We didn’t have room for cannoli today after our sizable lunch, but they’re fantastic, too. Since they’re made to order, everyone can get exactly what they like.

We appreciate the great service we get from Jamie and Genesys. We wish we had more opportunities to support them, but we usually only manage to get there on Saturdays. But rumor has it that they’re going to start doing weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and we...
