Sweet Retreat — Restaurant in San Jose

Two years ago the mini was $3.50 (I think it was $3.25 to start with), and at the time it seemed like a nice place to get some ice-cream, if you didn't want to bring any home. Last time I looked, it was $4.50 - but today it was $5. I try to avoid using single-user plastic, so I asked for a plain cone - and they wanted $0.50 for that!

There's plenty of traffic I guess so why not keep charging more and more - but I guess since it's beyond what I can justify now, so I feel they deserve the Greedy epithet. But I'm more concerned/appalled by the fact that it's free to litter the planet with single-user plastic spoons (bring your own spoons, people!) to go with your 20cent cups (per the menu) that they don't actually charge for, but a cone will cost you.

The ice-cream is still good - I'm just not a fan of the plastic use this company promotes. Plastic yogurt cups,...

The ice cream was delicious, right up until I found the first hair that I ignored untill I found a second, longer hair in my ice cream. They offered me a free scoop, which I accept but then realized it was from the same batch of ice cream that I just found the hair in-laws so I threw that out and left. Also, my pregnant wife accidentally knocked hers over on the counter and got some dust or fuzzies on it and I asked if they would mind scooping her another. I offered to pay for both since it wasn't technically their fault, and they charged me for both. Call me old fashioned but as someone who worked in the customer service field for 10 years, I would have only charged us for 2 and thrown the 3rd away, but I guess good customer service isn't what...

The best ice cream around, however I and several friends are partial to the frozen yogurt, specifically the frozen pineapple. I visited the shop about a month and a half ago and was told that they were out of the frozen pineapple. On a more recent trip I was told that the Pineapple flavor is no longer available at all. Needless to say, we are very disappointed as we do not care for the other flavors available and have enjoyed this particular flavor for years spanning the old location to the new location. I was told that although this was a very popular selection, that it has been discontinued due to its cost. I think you may lose many customers because of this decision not to carry it any longer. Can you please reconsider...
