Had a lovely meal, and I’m sure the anonymous doordash driver who picked up my pizza to deliver it, then promptly delivered it into their stomach, also thought it lovely.
My review: I ordered on the website, which I tend to do, as the internet is a magical place. I got a confirmation and waited the appropriate number of minutes according to the estimated time. I waited some more time, opening both doors to my apartment like I was searching for a lost child, to find that there was never a pizza approaching. I decided to call the shop and after some apparent volume issues they confirmed my pizza had been made and handed off to a doordash driver. I had no idea they used doordash but oh well. Maybe in my starvation psychosis I did not see “we use doordash for all deliveries” on the website landing page.
Anyways, they offered to refund me, make the pizza again and deliver it, or make the pizza again and just have me pick it up. I chose the latter because I did not feel like constantly throwing pizzas to doordash drivers like peas and ducks that night.
I picked up the pizza and they opened the box, revealing the precious contents within. I confirmed my appreciation for the remade pizza. I drove it home, ate half of it, and passed out. 4/5

Read moreI highly recommend the food and service from Pizza My Heart on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. The food was delicious and the service was above and beyond. I do not, however, recommend using the on-line order form. The online order form is controlled by a third-party called ezCater. EzCater company sent our large order for a party to a location that was NOT the closest to our event. When we went in the restaurant to ask a couple of minor questions, we discovered that they didn’t have a record of our order. It was because ezCater sent the order to the wrong restaurant. When I asked ezCater to redirect the order to the restaurant that was close to our event, they did so but they left out the gluten free pizzas. The manager at Pizza My Heart Blossom Hill worked hard to make it right and expedited the gluten free pizzas. We felt he went above and beyond. I will absolutely order from Pizza My Heart again, but I’ll never use the ezCater online order form again. By the way nobody at the party even noticed that the gluten free pizzas were delivered later than the rest of the food. The food was really good, the salads were fantastic, as was the pizza and chicken wings and bread sticks. Way to go Pizza My Heart for making it...
Read moreThis gets my vote for best pizza chain in the Bay Area. The crust is thin and the pizzas are always delicious. I especially appreciate that the cheeses used do not contain animal rennet. Animal rennet is one of those gross, non-vegetarian things that finds its way into food. Animal rennet is taken from the inner-lining of the stomach of cows, usually from calves, to help the cheese coagulate. It is totally unnecessary in modern practice, but is still commonly used. Thankfully, Pizza My Heart does not use cheese that contains animal rennet, which makes it safe for lactose vegetarians and kosher-minding patrons as well.
The service the night I went in was exceptional. The wait person really wanted to see me happy and cared for nothing else. Rare indeed. He even gave me some basil to sprinkle on my pizza when he knew that I was on a tight budget but still really wanted it. Yes, the staff here has earned my five-star loyalty!
And, the decor at Pizza My Heart is always fun to look at. Lots of vintage surf pics, sadly some of which was from my era... and I remember it!
Finally, the price was quite good value. If you are in the mood for pizza or need to feed a bunch of hungry surf rats, then this...
