A very huge let down, the concept so much better sounding than the actual execution. I would advise passing.

We ordered personal size pizzas to try them tapas style and unfortunately the dough for all the pizzas were extremely lacking in freshness and depth. Really seemed dough was prebaked for their kitchen to save time.

After over 30 minutes of waiting in a fairly empty dining room it was shocking to receive barely warm to the touch pizzas and yet the edges were over cooked like cardboard. The worst offender was the traditional Pizza Margherita which was burnt black to the core. And my Hummus Pizza which I was so looking forward to also had burnt edges, the sesame style flatbread trying to be innovative, but nose-dived because when you burn sesame it's over, you only taste charcoal. The hummus was so little and not noteworthy, the mini baby tomatoes and olives could have been a nice touch but could not save the heart of this pizza.

Now, the worst part of it all is that one of our family members cannot eat meat and we ordered the Pizza pumpkin basil which came to the table with meat. For a restaurant focused on menu items for vegans or veggie folks this is a real slap in the face. Everyone was done with their pizzas while we had to wait for another twenty minutes for a Pizza pumpkin basil which honestly was cooked with a thinner dough for it to be completed in time. The pumpkin looked like Gerber baby food and just did not pop or taste like anything, the roasted garlic seemed to be the only thing saving that pizza.

At the end of the meal, we expressed our support for local Puerto Rican restaurants to the server, but we felt we needed to let them know this meal failed in many ways-- the long wait, barely warm burnt pizza crust, and putting meat on a vegan pizza is honestly disrespecting those folks who you are trying to reach.

Before we left, I turned to the right and there was a South Asian family also eating pizza and stacked next to them were burnt crusts.

I have lived in NYC and Philadelphia, so I know the traditional pies as well as the adventurous ones and what was going to be a highlight of the trip really was such a letdown with La Masa. This crew needs to do their homework and go back to the basics, providing customer service with attention to detail and...

We were excited to see the restaurant as it looked like a cute hole in the wall pizza and pasta restaurant!!! My husband and I were there maybe with one more table of people … We ordered a rum pina colada, a margarita pizza and the Asian shrimp pasta based on the recommendation of the server (a girl) and asked for some water no ice. That’s the last we saw the server for the next one hour. She didn’t even get us water after asking her multiple times and the food took forever, which was surprising because it wasn’t crowded either, which then led us to convince ourselves that maybe everything was made to order so must be super fresh and good . The Asian pasta arrived one hour plus later( picture attached ) and it wasn’t pasta .. it was literally Thai lo main. The server now checked on us and asked us what we wanted and we said water and then she disappeared again and we never got our water !!!!! We were then served the margarita pizza after 2 hours approximately. The pizza was so disappointing to look at that I didn’t even take a picture … There were just chunks of cheese and tomatoes .. the tomatoes weren’t even cooked through and the cheese had not melted … I’m not sure what they did for 2 hours only to give us raw tomatoes and unmelted cheese on a pizza and we were still not served water even after alllllll of this -.- The bill was round 50$ including tip. So totally not worth it. TRY ANY OTHER PLACE THAN...

Overall the experience was ok. We arrived and were directed to sit outside although there was indoor seating. No problem. Then we waiting without service for some time. We attempted to scan to view the menu but the site was down. We located the menu on FB at the direction of a server we had to go and get on our own.

The pizza was ok but wait was long. Once food was delivered there was no napkins or any additional service provided.

When we received the check, the prices were higher. We brought this to the server attention and she argued the prices on FB (that she directed us to) was wrong and the check was right and we could see the prices on their website. As mentioned above and previously to the server that the website was down. Eventually they corrected the check but with much persistence. It’s worth verbally confirming your understanding of prices before ordering to avoid this experience.

The atmosphere had very loud music making it difficult to have conversation with the table. If you aren’t looking to communicate with one another then the music is nice. We didn’t mind it. It was a welcomed break :).

Lastly, restrooms, located outside, had 4 large cockroaches (dead)-...

We were walking around looking for a place dinner. We couldn’t really decide what we wanted and there wasn’t a lot open as it was getting a little late for dinner. We stumbled on a sign that said “pizza” we walked in and asked to see a menu, the only have the QR code to scan for the menu (it was a little bit of a pain since our service hasn’t been great on this trip) once we got it to run we checked out the menu. At first we found the menu interested but we were a little weary as this is not a traditional pizza join. We decided to sit and order. We ordered several items, “The cheesiest” this pizza was awesome! So many different flavors of cheese and they all come through individually. The Mac and cheese- again so many different cheeses and they come through especially the smoked Gouda! The pesto pasta was good just not my thing but the family likes it. The chicken and onions pizza was very good too.

Great service. Food does take a while but this is because everything is fresh. All of the pizzas can be customized to be vegan. Add the vegan cheese and make sure to check the ingredients on the menu and remove anything not vegan. There are two vegan appetizers but we did not try them. They also have a vegan eggplant lasagna. Two of the three desserts are vegan. I saw a review calling the carrot cake vegan but the menu does not indicate it being vegan and the server did not offer it as a vegan option. We had the hummus pizza. Replaced the cheese with vegan cheese. It was very good. Highly recommend. The personal size pizza is four slices. We also had the eggplant lasagna. If you enjoy eggplant, I’d highly recommend but if you’re looking for something close to a lasagna feel, maybe not. It was still good.
