The food was pretty good - absolutely. I wish I could base my review on how the food tasted. Unfortunately, the 3+ hour wait for the food (after being told "half an hour" "45 minutes" "an hour" etc until "we are trying to locate your order) makes that difficult. Regarding the service: a quite kind and patient male staff member took our order. I am grateful to him. The mashgiach tried to help, although this was not remotely his job. The owner, who did not emerge until about 2.5-3 hours into this debacle, seemed to feel quite bad. HOWEVER, the female server with glasses was so unbelievably rude it detracted entirely rom the experience. At one point, I think I saw her wipe a customer's table with a rag that had just fallen on the floor? Additionally, the manager, who theoretically sets the tone of the restaurant, was incredibly rude and unhelpful as well. Lastly, to the woman who posted the sanctimonious review: you sat at the bar and harangued the staff for your order the entire time, to the point that staff took food out of other people's orders to fulfill yours. This taught all the other customers there that night that complaining was the way to get your food. To say, after the fact, that you can't believe the behaviour of other customers is just not helpful. Lastly, after all this, members of my party did not get their food at all, and about half our other orders were wrong in part or in whole. I hope the restaurant improves its service and I wish it well, but this is simply not how you treat people coming to spend money in your establishment. Even during...
Read moreOrdered a variety of foods and each were amazing. I’m normally not impressed by falafel when I travel, but it was truly amazing.
I also ordered with my husband the salmon with rice and beans - the beans were delicious, rice fluffy, and salmon fresh.
We also ordered 2 cold drinks - the hibiscus tea and coconut lemonade - hands down if my wallet and calorie allowance would let - I would have that coconut lemonade every day. Really.
I’m excited to eat here again! Outstanding vegetarian and pescatarian options - the flavors were full and amazing. It’s fully kosher and is the only kosher restaurant on the island which is such a huge deal, 10/10.
Owners were awesome. Staff were attentive. Vibes of the store are immaculate - somebody somewhere designed that place well, so easy and comfortable to sit and relax.
Took us 12-15 to drive from the resort area at night no traffic. Convenient location and nice neighborhood. Parking within a block distance or so.
Plan to go again, definitely!
Forgot to take pictures of the food - kind of ate it a bit too...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at omrkt , and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant’s ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegance and warmth, making it a great spot for a casual meal or a special occasion.
The menu offers a diverse array of dishes, each thoughtfully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I started with the middle soup , which was perfect. For the main course, the salmon was a standout — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Even the sides, like the salad, were a delightful addition to the meal.
What truly sets omrkt apart is their impeccable service. The staff is knowledgeable about the kosher guidelines and happily answered all my questions about the menu. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Whether you keep kosher or are simply looking for outstanding food, here is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu. Highly...
