I used to visit here often when I first moved to Puerto Rico and it was a lovely little place to get coffee and breakfast. But I feel like the quality of the food has gone down so much that I was embarrassed that I recommended to my husband we go there, and that I had hyped it up so much. He doesn’t like cafe style restaurants such as Tostado in general, so when I can physically get him to go to one, it’s a triumphant itself and if it goes poorly, then I don’t get to pick the next restaurant for like six months. And they let us both down. He said he would’ve given five out of 10 stars. For me? I thought the meat was poor quality my cheesesteak sandwich, (which I ordered without the bun as I am allergic to gluten) didn’t have onions on it. It was on the dry side. There are no potato items on the menu at all for a side. I ordered a matcha latte, which apparently doesn’t have any coffee in it. That might’ve been my mistake, but I assumed it was gonna be like a dirty, chai 50-50. I would have expected a waitress to let me know that there’s no coffee in it when I say I’ve been dying for coffee all morning to her and order the 12 ounce tea. But it’s fine, I know for the future that it’s not like a dirty chai. the service was very nice and the ambience was nice and the restaurant was clean which we very much appreciate. The mixed root vegetables side was very dry. I had to take sips of water to get it down. My husband said that his French toast wasn’t actually French toast. It was just thick toast. It was not battered an egg like French toast normally would be. The cheese plate is the same cheese plate. They had four years ago, which reminded me why I stopped ordering four years ago, because it was always the same cheese, never a variety, two of which were very similar to each other, and not unique interesting cheeses nor worth the value. We will not be back. I will not be back. This restaurant may be expanded to quickly and forgot what they did well to begin with, but the wait staff used to explain things to you in detail check on you multiple times. I felt like we were a bit forgotten to be honest like everyone was just at work because they had to be there and didn’t want to be. Nobody was rude, but it was just a vibe that nobody was happy or cared to be there. I can’t believe I found myself actually wishing we would have gone to IHOP which was his suggestion. IHOP would have been so much better because their quality...
Read moreThe place was spacious and visually appealing. We waited around 15 minutes to be seated, which was reasonable. However, the wait for our coffee and food took longer than expected. The coffee was just okay, not my favorite, but drinkable.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Both my friend and I ordered omelets, mine with pastrami and swiss cheese, and hers with bacon and cheddar. The omelets were very thick and filled with holes, likely due to being cooked at too high a temperature or stirred too vigorously. The texture was off, and my dish fell apart easily. The bread didn’t taste fresh; it seemed like they buttered and toasted it, but then left it out for a long time before serving. We also ordered a lemonade, but it wasn’t quite as expected. It was served warm, so we had to wait for the ice to melt to cool it down.
Overall, I felt like I wasted my money, especially considering this place is more expensive than other coffee spots I've tried. The supervisor did ask how the food was, but we didn’t want to make a scene. Given that both omelets had the same issues, it seems they might not know how to prepare them properly.
Maybe I'll give it a second try at some point, to see what the hype about this place is, but that visit won't be happening...

The space gives off cozy brunch vibes with a modern twist, definitely the kind of place that feels inviting for a casual morning bite or midday chill.
🍽️ Food & Drinks The menu emphasizes local, fresh ingredients with a health-conscious approach. I ordered the matcha latte, which was okay, nothing special, a bit on the bland side. For food, I got the breakfast burger on goat wheat bread, which came with a tasty honey mustard-like sauce since they don’t carry ketchup. The side chips were a unique touch, crispy and likely made from yucca or taro, adding an earthy crunch that fit the clean-eating vibe.
👨🍳 Service & Hospitality Service was friendly and quick. The staff not only took care of us efficiently but also gave helpful recommendations for nearby beaches, which made the experience feel a little more personal.
