I used to eat here all the time. I was working in the area and wanted some nachos, so I got on doordash and ordered $14 Nachos, a $14 burrito for dinner later, and a $5 Horchata (size not advertised and no options). They used a small tray with dividers, placed a couple of chips on top of the dividers, then a few scoops of cheap toppings, hardly any meat. Both the most expensive and lowest quantity nachos I've ever purchased. It's better than Taco Bell, but no better than the cheapest nachos in town. Then there was the burrito; it was a gigantic, probably 12" tortilla, with maybe a scoop of rice and half a scoop of vegetables. 90% of it was tortilla, and I don't even think it had chicken or pesto in it. (I know, weird combo, but that's why I used to like Chilly Peppers). The only positive about the horchata was that it had cinnamon sprinkled on it. Other than that, it was an 8oz cup full of ice and one drink of bland rice water. All in all, it felt like I had just been nicked for my change in the alleyway and got a wet tortilla tossid in my face on the way out. Shameful. Either they rob doordash customers, otherwise the cook or owner are trying to run the place into the ground. Definitely don't try them on Doordash. Maybe they actually feed people in person.

For this place being here for so long this is my first visit. Ambience is nice and vibrant outside and inside, great outdoor covered patio seating. For being a Taco Tuesday, there was plenty of seating with constant flow of customers and even more to-go orders. With the stready flow of orders, they were very reasonable with how long it took to get my order. Food has good flavor and well plated I'd say. I look forward to trying more from their menu in the future.

One of the best Mexican food places in SLO. A little tucked away and underrated, but I love this place. Taco Tuesday is always a bargain for bomb tacos. I love the Huevos Rancheros, but they also have creative flavors in other dishes. Nice to see some originality in a menu. The outdoor patio is like a funky Aztec Zen garden and a great spot to relax and enjoy the food. Get out and check it out!

FILTHY and GROSS. When you walk in you'll notice everything is dirty. Every counter top is dirty and has personal items and junk piled on it. Walls and floors are covered with grease The owners must be living in the kitchen area from the looks of it. The filth inside is just the tip of the iceberg. The elderly lady who makes the food has dirty hands and fingernails and does not use gloves or a hair net. The counter top is covered with a half dozen old sauce bottles, mostly empty and covered with crusty stuff... Do I actually really need to continue with this review? Are you seriously still thinking about eating food from this place? Go for it you thrill seeker! I must've bumped my head on something really hard because I proceeded to order two tacos. I watched the lady slather them with multiple watered down salsas and strange colored sauces. Needless to say, the tacos were an un-edible runny mess. The meat was chock full of gristle and over cooked in a runny watered down salsa. Terrible food, served in a dirty, filthy, unsanitary environment by dirty people. There needs to be a negative star review, because giving one star is being too nice. To make a long, sad story short, you'd be better off eating Taco Bell, directly on the floor of the...

People must disregard reviews of "filthy or dirty" or any bad reviews as there is a new owner now and he is in process of cleaning inside/patio garden area. I thought they closed but they closed for a week as former owner died. It is still in the family. I have eaten at several places recently(Mexican and American)and no-one comes close. He made for me a burrito that I saw him cut the fresh vegis and cook them and add the toppings I wanted(all). I have been coming here for many years and it was very good before, I thought, but now it is excellent. I dont say this lightly or give reviews this good ever, but he is giving the place what it needs and I am sure the employees will follow suit. If you have'nt been here in a while or ever TRY IT. You wont regret it. Now with new look (still in progress)and new management I think this is the best...
