Perhaps this is a Chipotle one off. First of all "attitude!!!" The service persons were very pushy and forcibly rushing to build your bowl, wrap or whatever salad. When we asked for more lettuce, the server grabbed another small handful of lettuce and threw it atop the already small amount of lettuce already in the bowl. When we asked for sour cream, the server quickly plopped a large scoop atop the salad before we could say, "on the side". They did offer to re-make our bowl again. We accepted it as it was. We went here to try their new advertised "Red Chimichurri". First off, they had already run out of "carne asada" and this was at 11:30am. The server/s offered chicken, biria, pork and their tofu stuff. Right next to those was the "steak" when I asked, "what's that", while pointing to it in the steam table. Duh, offer the steak instead of the carne asada because of the 15 minute (we were told) asada preparation wait. Not good planning for the current advertised promotion. The chimichurri was red and oily. It was very acidic, very salty and unlike any chimichurri I have ever tasted. It was bad. I don't know if this is because it wasn't prepared to the recipe or if the recipe is that nasty. Did the restaurant simply not follow the recipe? And I tried it on everything like the commercial says. NOPE!!! Not good. This location also was very small with tables outside for more seating. The inside also had a loudly playing audio system installed in the cabinet above the drink bar, but without speaker dust covers and in need of dusting. Sounded good, but the look was not something like I have ever seen in a restaurant, even in the many different countries I have visited. Where are we? We ate the salad, the chips with the guacamoles but left the chimichurri behind. We also overheard the table next to us saying the chimichurri was harsh on their palate. Ouch! Please don’t keep the Red Chimichurri on the menu as prepared. Contact me if you would like a real chimichurri recipe. We are Argentinian. Dicks

I absolutely love chipotle, but this location needs to let go of half their staff and maybe hire a new manager. Disrespectful and lazy workers, half of them look high and that they hate being there, and horrible food safety standards. I’ve worked in food service my whole life but anyone would be able to notice these things. A few weeks ago I ordered a veggie bowl and the rice was literally not cooked, super hard to chew and not seasoned at all. The guac was not finished- it was simply large slices of underripe/firm avocados. I haven’t gotten a bowl since then cause I don’t wanna risk spending $20 just to throw uncooked food in the trash. Earlier today I ordered a veggie burrito and decided to give it another chance. (I also tipped 50% on my order because I was feeling generous) and they let some MEAT get into my VEGGIE burrito. That is just so wrong. I’m vegetarian mainly for health reasons, so could not risk eating more meat… and threw another $20+ meal in the trash. I’m disgusted. I order directly through the chipotle app, now I won’t even bother wasting my money anymore especially if I can’t see them make it. I’ve lost complete trust in the workers to do their job correctly.

Previously I would have given this place a 1 star because they messed up my order every single time and even have forgotten entire meals if I ordered multiple, but today they did good for the first time EVER. I walked in and ordered in person instead of through the app. DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THE APP...THEY WILL MESS YOUR ORDER UP. That happened to me about ten times before I gave up on them. But the employees tonight (2-24-2022) were all very friendly and most of them were wearing their masks except for two male employees. The food was super bland tasting today though, I don't know why (no I don't have COVID, I still smell and taste everything). I hope this place improves...today was a hopeful sign of progress...but this normally has been my least favorite Chipotle hands down.

This is the WORST restaurant ever. Save the money and hassle of going to this location. I dont even know how they are still in business.

First off, when I went to the restaurant, my first thought was "do they ever clean or empty the trash". The floors were sticky and dark, trash all over the the floor, not to mention the actual trash bins were over flowing. I went to go order my food and it felt like I was being rushed to order with the attitude, rude comments directed at me, this is how the management allows employees to treat, talk, and act towards customers? They were also out of guacamole, but frankly I'm not even surprised anymore. They are ALWAYS out of something. Might as well close early if your going to always be out. No point in staying open and wasting people's time and money. When I bit into my burrito i almost broke my teeth with how hard the rice was. It felt like i was bitting tiny pebbles with how the rice was. The burrito was also INCREDIBLY salty. They might as well have given me just pure salt. About 2-3 days ago ago, my friend went in to order a bowl and she had the exact same experience, except this time the manager was the one being rude. The MANAGER!! She told me the short black manager was being very disrespectful to not just my friend, but to the employees as well. My friend ended up telling me that she heard the manager be rude, controlling, talk smack about others towards other employees. The employee's seem exhausted and annoyed by everything and seem to fear/ hate the manager. My friend told me when she got her food and walked away, she heard the manager call her an annoying, entitled brat under her breath just because my friend was annoyed that they were out of queso and made a comment about it towards them. Really!!?!? This girl is a manager?? Guess they'll hire anyone these days. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGER BE RUDE TOWARDS YOU AND HAVE THEM TALK BADLY ABOUT YOU UNDER...

Not surprised to see such a low rating. I ordered a carnitas burrito with EXTRA carnitas and additional $4.50, making my burrito over $16.00 and there was about 1 once of meat in it. I cut it in half before taking a bite and there was no meat visible so I opened it up and combed all the little stray pieces of pork together, equalling 2 bites. I threw the remaining goopy mess in the trash. Also, Chipotle, why are your Fajita vegetable ALWAYS undercooked? I had to stop ordering those as well.

I think Chipotle is blatantly ripping off their customers, their food costs must be very low as they are not putting even a normal portion let alone a double portion in the order, but they still charge you for it! It's criminal that this many consumers are complaining about the same problem and yet they continue to do it. I stopped ordering from the Carlsbad Palomar Commons location for this same reason, but apparently it's a company wide policy to rip off the consumer.

I have left bad reviews on their app where I ordered from and their website. I wonder if I will get any kind of response. Doubtful, because if they cared, they would have stopped doing this long ago.

It's convenient to order through an app and skip the line, but you know who else has an app? EVERYONE. I will spend my money at Panera, who by the way recently increased their portion size because consumers complained there was no enough value for money.

Chipotle has always been on the expensive side of fast food as they claim to be "fresh", but there is nothing "fresh" about defrauding your consumers.

Shame on...
