Nephew's — Restaurant in San Marcos

Nephews is one of our regular spots! We end our night here, it’s usually fine. This dirty blonde bartender was extremely rude, pushed my friend and tried to get us kicked out after my friend asked her to say “excuse me” when SHE pushed her. She said she was going to get us kicked out and flicked us off after. Extremely unprofessional. A simple excuse me from a “staff member” goes a long way. We get it’s always packed but there was no need. She called one of the security guards to kick us out and he also did not hear anyone out and said we’d be “dragged out” after we tried to explain. My friend asked to speak to the manager and he was actually very professional and let us stay after hearing us out. Nephews really needs to get their staff in check because we aren’t the first ones to have this issue. This place was absolutely terrible. I came into town for one of my friends birthday to celebrate and have a good time, ended up leaving with a creased ID and extremely frustrated. When we first arrived I handed the bouncers my ID and they would not let me in. After demanding that it was real (which it was) they still would not let me in. I understood they had the right to deny me because I was too drunk or if they refused to serve me, but not because I "underage". They had no right taking my ID and bending it. The bouncer folded it in half and then two times down the middle absolutely destroying my ID right in front of me. I know this sounds ridiculous but living out of state trying to get a Texas ID take over two months to process. Because of this poorly run business and some jackass bouncer this is going to cause me plenty of headaches...

Once you’re inside, the vibe is cool, but the bouncers for this club are so rude. It is not even funny. You can clearly be asking them a question and they will turn around and walk the other way. I was literally there, and they yelled at one of my friends mind you this is a dude yelling at a woman which is actually insane. I get this job can be stressful but learn to manage your attitude so you’re not yelling at people like that, because you yell at the wrong person and somebody may give you something to yell about. And it was the ugly white one even the Hispanic ones here who wear the cowboy hats can be rude. So please fix this issue because next time one of those bouncers yell at somebody like that it will...
