Freaky Findz — Local services in San Marcos

Went to the Mermaid Festival in San Marcos, TX today, sporting one of my favorite wigs. Bought this at FreakyFindz about 4 years ago in New Braunfels and it’s still just as amazing as it was day one. This wig never fails to get compliments and I love the way it makes my eyes look greener! I wear it about once a month (lately more). The staff at FF are always helpful, edgy and informed. Went to the SM location (in the outlet mall) today for the first time and all four associates were very helpful, especially the blonde with dark roots and glasses. I was looking for horns and nothing was quite right out on the floor. She showed me the several locations where horns were kept, but none were quite right for the dragon cosplay I am planning. She recalled seeing some in the back and went to find them, they were absolutely perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! The SM location is wider has a more open layout than NB. I think the NB store actually has more product, but it’s tough to tell. Both locations have a huge range of costumes, accessories and fun stuff (toys, bags, tarot cards, magnets, socks, plushies, makeup, etc..) and are brimming with product.

I love these stores and recommend them to cosplayers and anyone who loves a themed party. They are open year round, so you don’t have to fret if it isn’t the Halloween season. When I lived out of state I always made sure to stop in here when visiting. They have great hats, masks, and props that could be used to make epic photo booths or even for table/counter decor. Had been in search of a costume store that carried a variety of quality mask and costumes. These days there are more seasonal stores that carry low quality products, unfortunately there are so many around every corner this time of year. My girlfriend happened across his store through their website and had mentioned some of the mask that were available, once I had seen what was posted we made the small trip to see the store in person. Nothing compares to the feeling of walking into a business that has captured the true spirit of Halloween with a huge selection of great mask, new and classic, an essence missed of seasons long ago. The staff were more than helpful, and the owner was very knowledgeable, more so than I could have imagined, even had a few stories to go with some familiar costumes from infamous monsters and killers from the movies I grew to love. Our visit to the store was more than exceptional, and we will definitely be back soon again, especially since they are open year round.

I would give this company a negative 5 if I could. Where should I begin?🤔 What attracted me to this store was their utility van in the parking lot advertising 75% off everything in the store. As I proceed to go to the counter and get rung to, full price, I mention something to the little girl behind the counter. She rudely tells me that the "75% discount is all the stuff in the extended store 2 doors down." I tell her that's not what the truck outside is advertising. So, I'm about 2nd chances. I return to the "extended store" to get 75% off whatever I choose from that store. They only give me 25% off, which I don't realize until I've finalize the purchase. Before I leave the store I tell them it's supposed to be 75% off and I want to return it. They tell me I can't return it due to their return policy. I haven't even left the store. The truck and the employees said all the items were 75% off. Isn't that false advertisement?
