I just want to save someone from coming here disappointed from the food.garcias, casa marias, los vegas, herberts, anywhere else in san Marco's seguin, austin,SA ,is better than this place. I always finish my plate.this place almost had me leaving it there.i ordered the federal plate(" combination plate")& a large plain queso .no chili) store bought "raw" tortillas nasty queso dip, picadillo taco was gross.tamale/enchilada /sauce was decent. service was terrible also by the only Male waiter there.i could tell everyone else got good service, this guy must be new. As soon as I sat down he asked if I was ready to order.I needed time to look over menu,I had to go get my waiter after sitting there for a long time.while ordering he asked "corn or flour tortillas " TORTILLAS never came,i had to go get my waiter again.another waitress brought them.SHE picked up the chips tray that had been sitting there for a while.im not real picky, but if I'm trying to earn a tip & provide good service- he MUST be new.5-10$ tips is what I leave everywhere.i almost STILL left him a 3$ tip. I didn't though.plenty of people seem to enjoy it here, I had a gross feeling leaving from this place .lesson learned.never again.go to garcias, casa garcias or...

Our experience was terrible. The server was working his tip to hard and he forgot his key point of being there today. I asked for over medium eggs and he brought me over-easy eggs. The thing I hate the most about ordering breakfast, is having eggs cooked the way you like them from a restaurant. Because 1 out of 10 times they're made the you would like them. The other 9 they're undercooked and I will always send them back. My mom had the menudo and I believe the only spices in there were chilli powder and cayenne pepper. Nothing to brag about, other than having a blan-flavor To spicy for anyone over the age of 65. So my mother did not eat. I chose to polish off the warm (yes, i said warm) bowl but should've thought better. Because now I'm sick and right away I experienced diarrhea. However to top off the morning. My mom decided to order a barbacoa and a carne guisada taco, that took them over 20min before she eat. Not to mention the the owners wife stared us down until we walked out when done. My bill was $33.87 and chose to tip the server $1.13 for not being on point. It will be a cold day in the south before I go eat at Rogelio's Mexican Restaurant again. My rating for that restaurant...

Horrible experience!!! Our waitress got our whole order wrong and instead of having her fix it, we thought we'd just let it slide since it is the first time visiting. We didn't want to be jerks. Well come to check out and firstly they overcharged us. Then when I brought it to their attention, they argued with me about the cost discrepancy stating that beef fajita was extra. I told him that firstly we ordered chicken, and secondly no where near our entree on the menu does it state extra charges and also the fact that the waitress didn't say anything about extra cost. The boy at the counter said well you still ate it. It should have been the same cost! Had they just admitted their mistake and given me what should have been returned, we may have been repeat customers and I wouldn't be leaving a bad review. Thank you for arguing with the customer and ruining my night out with my family. The food had small portions but wasn't half bad. If you go, Clarify with the waitress what you are ordering and be aware of...

Found this place after learning that my old go-to has closed for good. The chilaquiles are different than I'm used to but not bad. They are made with fried tortilla strips instead of chips amd the egg isn't cooked into them. 🤔 However, I do like that you can choose red or green. I'm a green all the way. I also always add guacamole and a side of barbacoa to mine and the lady seemed to know exactly what I was about to do even though I've never been here. 🙂 The green table salsa was also a nice addition. Nice and spicy. The beans are a bit blan and crunchy. They could use a longer cooking time and a bit of lard, salt and spice. The machacado was also good and as expected. Coffee was perfect. A middle of the week celebratory brunch we also ordered a La Toxica and it was fantastic!! We will be back!

My daughter and I visited for the 1st time, our appetite was set on quesabirria tacos.....we definitely went to the right place! As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly, almost like family. Our order was taken quickly and the food was served just as quickly, hot and delicious 😋 We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Rogelio, and his son, along with the sweet wife and little daughter who just happened to be sitting directly behind us. Hands down the best quesabirria and salsa I've ever had, and the service we received was the most welcoming and sincere than I've experienced anywhere. Will most definitely be returning 😁

I had to drive into San Marcos today and while I was there I wanted to try a different Mexican Restaurant. I Googled Mexican food and this place was one of the ones that came up. I haven't eaten Chilaquiles since I stopped drinking but I remembered that I use to to like them. Surprisingly, Rogelio's has them. Guess I had forgotten how spicey there were..:) Rogelio's is very colorful and I was fine with that. The people were really friendly. They have a private party room, which surprised me because the place didn't seem that large from the outside They like to trade fish stories..lol..another surprise
