Patio D'olcetto is by far my favorite wine lounge in the area, including New Braunfels, Wimberley and Kyle/Buda and I am a frequent guest there.
Usually I would give them 5 stars for their wine list alone. However, my last visit there raised only a couple of concerns. According to their FB page, music was scheduled to start at 7 PM and I had brought a friend who had never been before and we got there just after 7 PM and there was no band. According to the staff, the band is playing an hour later due to the heat, which I can completely understand. However, I received another notification yesterday about a band playing next week and again the time states 7 PM. Had I known that the band was playing later we would have come later instead of sitting in the heat for an hour waiting for them to play. I would recommend to PD that they check all of the FB event times and adjust them accordingly.
The second thing that concerned me were the mosquitos. We were constantly getting bit in the last hour we were there. Serious treatment needs to be done to abate them for patrons.
Lastly, I usually love the charcuterie platter. The usual peppered salami had been changed out for a summer sausage instead. Please bring back the peppered salami. The dinner sausage was just too fatty.
Things we loved? The wine, the music, the hummus plate, the excellent customer service, the ambiance. I'll always be back, but would really like to see the above...
Β Β Β Read moreOne star is nice. So they opened early for the mermaid parade, failed to ID me when I got a mimosa. Not to mention they only had OJ (Boring). One Shipley kolache was $3. My mom and sister showed up, they only wanted OJ, and the server had no clue if she could sell JUST OJ???? then finally questioned if we were all 21? Continued to take our money for food and drinks. Then another woman came up and proceeded to inform us anyone under 21 is not allowed on property due to insurance..... But we could continue to enjoy our refreshments in front of the patio on the street. We stuck around on the patio in confusion. I had invited my family from over an hour away to enjoy time with me at the parade, and now we canβt even hang out where we wanted to. Now thatβs cool and all, if you wouldβve informed us of that before we gave you our money! So now we are being confronted about the age restriction, because my sisters age was unknown to them. Yet they havenβt IDβd anyone in the group!! Again, we were informed we can consume alcohol off the property but minors are not covered by their insurance. My mother was so confused at the predicament. If anyone could Explain why this makes sense i would appreciate it. Insurance can have liability off property yet someone with a guardian is not covered. The professionalism was not consistent and the message shouldβve been clear from the beginning. Now we are on the side of the street, no drink...
Β Β Β Read moreI came here this past weekend and we reserved a table for a book club meetup. They had inside/outside seating and both 1st /2nd floor levels with seating for larger and smaller parties. The service is great (the girls were very attentive), and the atmosphere is so beautiful, calming and scenic. The happy hour deals are so good and we came on Sunday which in my opinion- Sundays deals are the favorite. The deal was $25 for a any full board of your choosing (charcuterie board/ cheese board) with a whole bottle of wine (you pick the wine of the day). I also had a $10 mimosa carafe (pineapple, orange, and cranberry flavors) that was also on special. Prices are fairly priced and I love that you can come to this place for books club, dinner, winery tasting, a date, or a casual outing. They had little paintings here and there on the buildings which was cute. This is a hidden gem π in SMTX. You canβt beat this place, the weather right...
