Armida's Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in San Rafael

Muffin Mania is better than ever! I have been going to Muffin Mania for almost 30 years, and now it's under its third owner -- and while I love and miss the former owners, I am blown away at what the new owner Armida has brought to the table. The case is loaded not only with all the classic muffins, morning buns and Rocky Rolls, but Armida is also baking all kinds of scones, turnovers, small pies, galettes, cookies and other pastries.

Lunch at Muffin Mania was always the best kept secret, and they've managed to up their game there too. Now there is house-roasted turkey and chicken thighs on the sandwiches (all made on delicious house-baked bread and rolls) and I love the roast veggie sandwich.

Extra points because the old staff has stayed on, including my man Matt and Miguel in the kitchen.

Way to go, Muffin Mania!...

My review is solely for the BLT's, as I am sure the muffins and other pastries are still as good as ever. Muffin Mania is no more unfortunately. The original BLT's were the best in town, they changed a little with the last owner, and now have completely changed with the new owner. I'm not sure why you would change a good thing. I'm sure rising food and labor costs have contributed to the sandwich being less than half the size of the original, but the new roll is hard and not good. I am giving 3 stars because they are still as friendly as ever, but my weekly orders of BLT's for my employees will be no more unfortunately. I can't see paying $11 for a sandwich that is half the size it was a...

Organic bakery in the heart of San Rafael. I came upon this cozy cottage looking place when I got off the beaten path of 4th street.

Worth finding! Coffee and hot and cold sandwiches available but the variety of baked goods was so creative … I went for the sweets… the banana Meyer lremon bread/cake is a standout. And I loved loved loved the whole wheat very muffin.

Incredible flavors and healthy ingredients! Yay! . I no longer have to be sad that Arizmendi is gone from the San Rafael scene.

What a gem…. They even have an upright piano and a children’s books and game...
