UMe | Tea & Snacks — Restaurant in San Ramon

Found the reviews promising and went to try this place. Ordered a Crème Brûlée Thai Tea and a salt and pepper Popcorn Chicken. The wait time was crazy. Everyone had to wait really long to get their orders. The tea was okay but the popcorn chicken was horrible! The meat felt old, the pieces were more like wings size and overall it didn’t even look/feel nice to eat. We later stopped by T4 as my son really wanted to eat popcorn chicken and we finally found some decent popcorn chicken there. Will not recommend this place for their popcorn chicken.

Update: I was offered a refund on my order and was given ume coins to retry the snack. I ordered a lychee rose milk tea, the brown sugar boba and popcorn chicken again. The drinks were nice. The popcorn chicken was better this time. It would be great if they could make the size of the chicken pieces a lil smaller. They definitely need to work on their speed in getting orders ready. The backend customer service is really 10/10. They seem to really care about their customers.

Today was very disappointing. I ordered a lychee&rose green tea with a substitution of tea jelly instead of lychee and less ice 100 sweet. They forgot to add the lime and were happy to remake it. But when they returned it to me I thought they had remembered to add the tea jelly but they didn't and I had already arrived home. I live pretty far but after work I usually stop by because it is right across the street from where I work. So just now I put my straw in and realized there was the lime but no tea jelly. Not sure how this place got 5 stars…but

SERVICE: worst service. There was only one customer ahead of me but it takes like 25mins to get one milk tea. It’s my third time here but always so slow. Also, those young kids employees always rude. If you guys don’t want to work, stay home kids. Their speed is like damn slow maybe I could make faster than them. QUALITY: sucks. Drinks are melted. I bet this place will be closed in...
