As a solo diner who dines out A LOT in both franchise and independent restaurants and someone who enjoys fine dining, I had an unexpectedly wonderful experience at this IHOP that exceeded my expectations! I walked in and I usually prepare myself for being really cold in IHOP as most IHOPs turn up the AC so that the customers are uncomfortable and therefore won't stay that long, but this IHOP's temperature that night was set at "You are welcome here and we are not trying to chase you away" degrees. A nice start.
Then my food: I ordered the T-bone dinner with a Caesar salad plus short stack of pancakes and hashbrowns. My steak arrived fairly quickly and I didn't have to wait long, and it was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested, and it was just the right portion size, and it was seasoned very well too. I added broccoli to my steak dinner and the broccoli was fresh (you can tell because it was still crisp) and perfectly buttered and not limp and overcooked. The pancakes were delicious too as usual. I ate every crumb from my plate. The whole meal was very reasonably priced for everything I got. It's like I was getting away with something.
When I ordered, my server Mimi actually pointed something out that I could order a certain way and it would shave a few dollars off my original order. How kind of her to look out for her customer like that! Anyway this allowed me to add another item to my order since I was saving a little bit, so I enjoyed my dinner even more. Mimi and manager Mohammed both really took good care of me as I dined by myself around 11pm on a Sunday. When I got my extra salad, Mohammed even brought a few choices of dressing in individual ramekins to my table and I picked the dressing tableside! I was like a VIP. That salad was, once again, unexpectedly yummy and exceeded my expectations. There were quite a few other customers at that hour, but as a solo diner I felt like I was not forgotten and I felt just as important as the groups who had bigger orders/checks than me. The hospitality and kindness from Mimi and Mohammed really made my day, and I can't wait to go back. I don't often write reviews but I had to this time. This IHOP is doing it right....
Read moreHere is the issue. My husband and I came on a Sunday around 12 noon.
We were seated quickly with a smile. Our waitress waited on us within 3 minutes.
Our food came out nice and hot, and tasted good.
The ISSUE is while eating, a coach roach came across the table to my plate. Ugh!!!
I was able to kill it with a napkin and asked for the manager via a waitress. She said she was a lead. So I told her the issue with a low voice, and gave over the napkin with roach. She said she would inform manager. He came by and stated he understood the problem, offered us to move tables (my husband only had a few bites left to eat, and I could not eat anymore since I lost my appetite), my husband said it would not make sense to move when we are done.
The manager said when we leave they will bleach the table down to help prevent another more..smh
He then gave us 50% Off ticket.
So here is a little common sense.
We know there are roaches in every establishment. The point is when they are coming out with noise, and movement then they have even more of an issue then management says. The management says that the establishment needs to have pest control come more often to keep under control.
Also, (we observed the kitchen door was wide open the entire time from arrival to departure) having the kitchen door kept open for rodents and even more insects to come in while cooking should be a no-no.
They need to provide an industrial fans for the cooks (it may be cold to the patron, but cooking, the heat can be unbearable)and possibly an additional ac unit in the back. As we are having...
Read moreOverall good. My family and I come here on most Sunday nights because it's one of the few places open late after 10pm. Rarely have any complaints. We mostly almost get the same order every time. We have ordered the chicken fingers and fries, pancakes, waffles, veggie omelette and hash browns. Good food and service. P.S. this is a smaller IHOP location. (((Update)))... Well our waitress killed it for us. Someone needs to be properly trained or fired!!! (The mid 30s white lady with a gray hoodie, blue jeans, blonde hair in a ponytail on Sunday night shift around 10pm or so.) 1. We were ready to order but apparently she wasn't ready to take our order... She went straight back to the dish washer section to hit her reddish looking vape so it looked like. We were the only table there other than one other table. 2. She sits next to you or leans down on your table while taking your order. No, I'm not your friend back up. 3. She left the table without a word multiple times... When bringing our drinks and when she dropped off our food. So since she left the table without a word I had to get up and find her where she was sitting in the back booth. I'm sure she noticed quickly I was upset because my attitude changed with her from respectful to ungracious. Bottom line this is the second time she was our waitress and as a Restaurant Owner, Server and being an HR... I'm not pleased at all with...
