The food was good, however,, it was my daughter, my friend, and me. We chose to eat outside because it was cold inside. The table they tried to sit us at there was a bee flying in the area. We chose the same table on the other end and was told it was reserved (a lie) once we ordered our food, we noticed that soon as the food came out, the server started hoovering over us. He kept coming out to our table having meaningless conversation that we barely could engage in our own conversations, then it hit me, they think we are going to dine and dash. I ordered the twin lobster tails, the server suggested that i get it both ways so I did. The fried lobster tasted as if it was fried too hard, i sent it back then it comes out again tasting the same, and like it was fried in old grease. I evenly split it with my daughter and friend because I didn’t want it anymore. We are already feeling uncomfortable , so I didn’t send it back the second time. When he came back to the patio and asked did I like it and was it better, I told him I gave it to them he said. “ I know, I saw that” there was no one out there to see me give it away. That’s when my suspicions were confirmed, theyre watching us on camera. They really thought we were dining and dashing and that’s why they didn’t give us the other table on the far end because it was close to the exit to the sidewalk. It all made sense as we were leaving. All I can say is the food was good, the over friendly but suspicious customer service is what will make me not come back ever. I’m a 53 year old black woman who will never consider doing such a thing. I am a foodie and will pay for my food no matter the cost. It took me a minute to catch on to the vibe but soon as i did, I was ready to pay my tab and leave. I had to ask for the check two times. To the manager Bri, Brittany, whatever your name is, nice try and it’s safer to play in traffic than to do what you and your server did to us yesterday. We were so uncomfortable and afraid to speak up because we knew you guys were going to think we didn’t want to pay for our food. So we just ate, paid the 356.77 bill plus the 66.00 recommended tip. But just know, I don’t patronize where I’m not treated with respect and dignity. What was supposed to be a fun girls day out turned out to make us feel degraded. Oh and the so called “reserved” table never had a reserved sign on it nor did anyone ever come to sit at the so called “reserved” table. I guess they felt like it was too close to the street. It became so obvious because random servers kept coming outside to the patio to act like they were looking for something. We were the only ones there once the other couple left. I would not recommend this particular restaurant to anyone because they definitely stereotyped us and...

I was excited to see that this restaurant was rated so high. My friend and I found a reason to get together and connect after work. The plus was trying a new restaurant. I'm glad the conversation was amazing because the food was not. I will start this review with saying that the service was amazing.

The waiter mentioned the Happy Hour between 4 and 6PM, which included oysters. I was getting oysters anyway, so I decided to go for it. When I saw them, I immediately regretted it, but thought I'd try it. If you've ever had raw oysters, you know exactly what's wrong when you see them. They looked like they were yesterday's, or even the day before's oysters. They probably should have been disposed of. I thought that this was a reputable restaurant and they wouldn't give me bad oysters. So, I proceeded to eat them. I stopped when I had a bad one. It just didn't taste right, so I sent them away. I then had the tuna tartare. It was just okay. Again, the tuna just didn't taste fresh. I was thinking I probably should have had a basic shrimp cocktail.

For my entree, I chose the seared scallops with soy chili garlic sauce. I was thrown off because the sauce was a little sweet, which I did not expect. Scallops were fine, nothing special. But, I got the lemon garlic spinach and lobster risotto as sides. The spinach was fine. The risotto was abysmal. It was a pile of mush with tiny lobster claw pieces mixed throughout.

That meal had so much potential. My friend and I each paid almost $200 each (incl tip) for a less than mediocre meal. I HATE spending a lot of money for bad food. Life is too short to waste calories on food that doesn't bring me joy. I'm assuming I was here on a bad day, because there are a lot of 5-star reviews. I rate restaurants based on whether I would go back or not. This one is will not return, would not recommend.

Food Taste and Quality. Did the food taste good and made with quality ingredients? Value. Is the food worth...

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was an OK experience. The ambience is okay but not what I expected, it seemed a little like a diner and wasn't too upscale as I thought. We valeted the car which was convenient. The host was friendly and greeted us upon arrival, we had reservations and were seated quickly. Our waiter, Eli, started out great but eventually fizzled out which was disappointing. Initially, he was very attentive, answered our questions and made good suggestions. At some point, he stopped checking on us and gave all of his attention to the table behind us. I counted at least 8 times that he went to their table to take them hand cloths, wine, food, took plates away, etc...he never came back to check on us after he brought our food other than asking if everything was good. We eventually had to ask a person in a red coat (I believe his role was to bus the tables) to refill our drinks and get us to go boxes. Once Eli saw this, he came over finally but was very nonchalant, a noticeable difference from when we first got there. He brought out the birthday dessert and said "I would sing but I don't want to"... we didn't ask and wasn't expecting him to!

The food was ok, I had snapper (it was better second day as leftovers) , lobster risotto (very little lobster, had peas and corn in it which was different but not in a bad way) asparagus (huge but unseasoned) and shrimp which was ok. My boyfriend had salmon (he says he enjoyed it), Brussel sprouts (delicious especially with the sauce) truffle fries (yummy) and we ordered the lobster mac and cheese (good with huge chunks of lobster... wasn't on the menu or offered to us, we heard Eli telling the table behind us about it and asked). We didn't have any alcohol or extra dessert and spent about $180 including a tip that I decreased because of the service.

Overall, it was just ok, I wouldn't go back and...

The Sandy Springs Clark & Schwenk’s (C&S) restaurant has my favorite bar in town. The food at Sandy Springs C&S is amazing, but the bar is my favorite. The bar vibe is as classy as The Campbell in Grand Central Terminal, NYC. Just walking through the door at Sandy Springs C&S uplifts my enthusiasm and sparks my pleasures. Alexa is the general manager. Her smile and graciousness always prepare me for my forthcoming experiences. Always present, her professionalism and service-oriented focus set the tone from the top and is emulated by the entire staff. The bar itself is clean, organized, and well stocked. Sitting at the bar, my experiences are further enriched by bartender’s Brandon, Rachel, and Eli. Their teamwork, service, and socialization are always in balance. The bartenders are polite, professional, and eager to curate a customized patron experience. Each bartender is intelligent and informative about wine characteristics, whiskey properties, and menu pairings. My go-to beverage this season is Eli’s “Gold Member” bourbon cocktail. It exudes delicious notes of ginger and honey, but it’s not sweet. The bourbon (I prefer Buffalo Trace) is front and center; however, the drink is a perfect balance of flavors and aromas. To finish the presentation, the clear ice cube is topped with a gold leaf upscaling the beverage’s classiness. I suggest pairing one with the grilled oysters. I strongly recommend stopping into Sandy Springs C&S to uplift your spirits, pun intended. Perhaps we'll have the pleasure to share a Gold Member or other craft cocktail someday. Until then, I'll continue to return to my favorite bar, readied for another wonderful experience. Cheers!
