Ladies and gents- this is the experience that you didn’t know you needed. I am not a woman who has been dreaming of her ring since she was a child, in fact, until my visit today at Ascot I knew almost nothing about diamond rings. I found Ascot via social media and decided to send an email inquiry. I received a thoughtful email response shortly after from Valeria. From the first email I knew that Ascot focused on education! I was presented with several questions and received thoughtful responses with necessary educational notes that helped me narrow down my preferences. Valeria even sent me a few diamond options via email with the 3Cs and GIA report included. From there I scheduled an in-person appointment via email…now here is the difference between Ascot and other jewelers….
Prior to my in-person appointment, I visited one high end jewelry brand, one very popular brand, and once local store all in one day. I absolutely hate those experiences. Not only did those jewelers have an incredibly limited inventory to show me, but the experience felt like a pushy sales experience with little focus on education. I am more of the type to know what I want from a first glance scan but I am not as skilled at communicating what I want to others so I NEED someone to educate me and show me options so I can clearly say what I like and WHY….. you just don’t get that level of customer service at standard jewelers. Combine this with the overstimulation of having a lot of unnatural lighting, many options laid out in displays, noise, etc… I felt anxious and overwhelmed in these jewelry stores. I absolutely hated the experience and my beau didn’t enjoy it either. We left feeling not one bit more knowledgeable than we did when we walked in.
Contrast this to Ascot… there wasn’t a display of diamonds or jewelry to overwhelm you, it was quiet, not an overly heightened sensory experience, and I was in a private space. Valeria already pulled several options based on our email communication and in less than one hour we were able to select the most ideal cut for my hand, my size, band width, the carat range, color and clarity that is best for me. Valeria took notes on details that I was most sensitive to (details I didn’t know I cared about), and allowed me to look at the flaws in several diamonds via a magnifying glass. At this point I feel like I can educate others on diamonds and I walked into Ascot knowing almost nothing even though I visited 3 jewelers prior.
Most importantly, I left the appointment feeling relaxed, educated, and confident. I did not feel pressured, I did not hear a sales pitch, I did not have to give a reason for why I wasn’t ready to close the deal or stay longer… it was an experience of ease.

Being out of town I started looking for a replacement while in Florida only to be disappointed with overpriced mediocre diamonds. I searched the Atlanta area as I had to travel back thru there to go back home to Tennessee. The Ascot reviews caught my attention. While searching on their website I noticed the affordable prices on what looked to be good quality diamonds. I even researched their company to make sure it was legit. I contacted them and Tammy answered the call. She happily sent me videos of the diamonds I asked about. She kept in contact with me until I was able to travel there to see the diamonds in person. I was undecided between a couple of diamonds. She was always honest about the diamonds and gave me her honest opinion. Even if that wasn’t the higher priced one. She didn’t pressure me, rush me, or get irritated in my indecisiveness. She went and got multiple settings to put the diamonds in and even took me outside with them to see them in the natural light. It wouldn’t have mattered if I was spending a lot or a little she helped me all the same. She knew I had a ways to travel back home and got my ring set and sized in less than an hour. They also cleaned and polished my mothers band I wore in that is very special to me at no charge. Losing my Diamond of 22 years was devastating to me and I doubted I’d be able to ever replace its beauty within reason. I was able to do that at Ascot. Getting a beautiful Diamond that I could afford really meant the world to me. As I had just decided prior if I couldn’t get what I truly wanted I would just not have a Diamond. But that day, I left with the most beautiful 1.52 vs1 i hearts and arrows that a girl could ask for. That was priced as it should be. Read moreI really thought I would have a better experience based off of the reviews but it seemed as if the person we were working with really didn’t hit the mark for us as far as being warm and open to us having questions. I made two trips here with a total 2 hour commute each time. That’s how serious we were. We are new to the diamond world and were looking forward to having a custom engagement ring made here with the diamond but when I emailed asking questions (mostly just to educate myself and make sure I understood everything), I was pretty much told to go with someone else if I chose and felt really dismissed. I felt like we were an annoyance in person on the first meeting and online through email. I’ve since met friendlier jewelers both online and in person and I’d rather give my business to someone who doesn’t make one of the most incredible times in my life feel like a burden and takes time to answer my questions with a smile on their face and not just to make a quick sale. We are looking at an even more expensive diamond than what we were looking at with you all and would much rather support them than you all based on customer service alone. It’s sad because I loved the diamonds I looked at with you but now refuse to support you.
