Arrived at this particular location on a Friday morning 8:13am and the doors were locked. I was highly disappointed. This same thing occurred to me going to Smoothie King in this area. And here I was thinking instead of going there I’d go to Rush Bowls. For the same thing to occur here as well. And coincidentally both incidents were on Friday mornings. It’s like no one wants to show up on time Friday. Once I confirmed the door was locked I was going to leave , but because my order was scheduled to be ready 8:15 I stayed at the door. I was greeted by the young lady saying “you trying to come in here”. Technically you are supposed to be open so yes. Then she allows me to come in and says she will began my order immediately after counting the drawer. She was on the phone the entire time which prevented her from counting it accurately. I heard her count the change repeatedly as if she kept losing count. Then after waiting approx 10-15 mins another lady walks in, and she began both our orders. Meanwhile, I was already waiting prior to the other patron. I had ordered one bowl. The other customer had a bowl and a smoothie. So I feel like mine should have been priority or at least started mine then while mine was in the blender start the other customer order. She had gloves on but grabbed her cellphone out of her back pocket and set it on the container for the fruit. Everyone knows cell phones are full of germs, due to being set down everywhere or even accidentally falling on the ground. So what use were the glove if you dig in your pocket with gloves on to touch your cell phone. And was still talking on the phone. 🤯 Icing on the cake you give me a buy one get one coupon, as if I will return to spend money to get something discounted or free. I could have been understanding of being late if she wasn’t on the phone & tended to my order promptly and...
Read moreI walked in to the bright, clean, gorgeous space excited for the menu and hoping to recommend to friends who live and work nearby. A 22+ minute wait for a smoothie is absurd for no one being in line in front of me. (Not exaggerating, timed by my Apple Pay swipe until receiving smoothie.) If a customer walks in with no one else in the establishment, they don’t expect this wait whatsoever. If you’re going to accept online orders, you either need a visible triage system or to ensure your cashier has the EQ to give the customer — before ordering— a heads-up of the volume of online orders which will result in an exorbitant wait…. Legitimately more than 20 items made for online items while I was standing there waiting with no warning. Added frustration that part of the wait was elongated by the employee repeatedly making multiple items over due to an inability to match lids. Also, in spite of the note about asking about allergens, when I did, the employee just pointed me back to the list. Smoothie was fine, which for $11+ with the additions, but won’t be back; still mentioned to my friends but with heavy caution. To be clear, this isn’t on the individual employee, even though I’d have personally more proactively managed—and known to apologize for the wait, whereas there wasn’t even a “thanks” or “you’re welcome”—but ownership or management who, if blending multiple workstreams, needs to ensure their employees are trained to appropriately manage the workflow and customer...
Read moreFresh ingredients, better bowls, and you thought this was a Papa John's jingle huh? Rush Bowls was a great place chosen for an Elite Event this month. I've heard of the location before, but never had the opportunity to drive that way into Sandy Springs. Very glad I got h th e chance to try out Rush Bowls as a part of the Yelp Elite.
Located in a very busy area, there's plenty of things to do before or even after you've had yourself a tasty treat here. The staff was very friendly, it seems like everyone speaks highly of them. And they were definitely right! Helpful to all first timers who drop by and don't know what they want to order. Menu choices are very extensive, but as long as you know what type of fruit and general flavor you like, then you'll be okay.
I chose the Yoga Bowl which was a great choice for me. Flavors blended very well together, paired with the generous helping of granola and honey on top, making this one lovely treat for summer days. Also got a smoothie to go along with it, "Mango is Forever." now speaking honestly, I didn't like the taste at first. It felt like there was a lot going on and it didn't taste like mango at all. But over time, it grew on me. Still a toss up if I'll order this smoothie again, though it wasn't a bad choice either. Give both a try!
Other than that, clean shop and plenty of seats outside for a great time out. Stop by if you have the chance, definitely...
