I really do love their food. I like that they still make the traditional big egg roll . The staff is very kind and efficient. They are always busy. I do like to make my own combo. I order the same thing every time . Egg foo young. Egg roll and fried shrimp. However, depending on which waitress or waiter I get ,my price may vary. So I never know ,if I'm going to pay 12.95 or 15 dollars. For the meal. Once I tried to make a different combo . With chicken lo-mein and egg fu young They tried to charge me $30. I must have, looked like I was sticker shocked. The waitress was like oh . You want one egg foo young patty. I was like okay ,sure . It' will be only $. 28 . 00 then . I found that a little too expensive for a one person meal . Especially when the rest of the dinner Combination, are only 12 to 15 dollars price range . With a lot more food . So if they can actually decide on a price, that would be great . For now. I'm just going to order the chicken lo- mein as is .Skip the egg foo young. That's only around $15.00. Which is more in a comfortable price range. If this was any other chinese restaurant . That just had okay food ,For the inconsistency in pricing . I would never go back . But because they have really great food. Compared to the other Chinese restaurants in town and still one of the few Chinese restaurants that still know how to make a real egg roll and egg foo young . I will still continue to go . I hope to get more consistency with the pricing . In the...
Read moreFast and friendly service with a smile should be their motto. They've always gotten my orders are right and they always go over and above to make sure that you have everything that you need in order for your meal to be pleasing from side sauces to Hot Mustard, they will bring you just what you asked for.
It is a quiet environment and a easy place to stop and hop right back on the road if you are headed through the town of Sandy toward Mount Hood. The restaurant is on a one-way street through the downtown area of Sandy so it makes easy time pulling off to the left hand side of the road eating hopping back in your car in sipping to the mountain not to mention, they are directly across from True Value Hardware so if you need any hardware for your skiing Adventure or snowmobile, you may be able to pick it up there at the same time your meal is being prepared.
the food is fairly inexpensive and you have an ample too large portion no matter what you order off the menu. Honestly, the pork has been dry once but overall it's good and everyone is allowed a mistake, they have offered stellar food and service all other times.
Diagonally across the street, if you are a fan of donuts you won't want to miss grabbing a donut at Joe's Donuts. Best Donuts around and I'm...
Read moreWent to Sandy Mountain Days today 07-09-2022 on the way back to the car we passed by Double Dragon Restaurant. I asked my spouse if we should get some Chinese food to take home. We did...ordered the #7 dinner to go. Got home and found we had the wrong dinner. They gave us a #8. It was horrible! Shrimp were so small it was nothing but batter. The pork fried rice had no pork... Nada! and it was so salty we couldn't choke it down, had to throw it away.
Then the pork chow mein had very little pork as well. We eat chinese food all the time. This was by far the worst food I have ever tried to eat.
We will never go back to the Double Dragon in Sandy Oregon...
