I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Peru, a local gem nestled in Sanford, and I simply must share my delightful culinary experience.
From the moment I entered Bistro Peru, I was met with nothing short of outstanding service, combined with an authentically warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes one feel instantly at home. The staff are not only remarkably courteous but also incredibly sweet, their genuine warmth contributing to the overall ambience of this Peruvian haven.
The dishes I sampled could only be described as phenomenally authentic and incredibly tasty. Starting with the crispy ChicharrĂłn and flavorful Yuca, the meal was off to an appetizing start. The Lomo Saltado showcased the beautiful fusion of Peruvian flavors with perfectly cooked beef and a balance of spices. The Fish and Chips, a delightful surprise on a Peruvian menu, were simply delectable, with the fish being perfectly cooked, and the chips, crispy and delicious. The Cuban Pork Bowl, a hearty and flavorful dish, was a culinary tour de force. And last but not least, the Calamari, golden and crispy on the outside while tender inside, left me in seafood bliss.
I wholeheartedly recommend Bistro Peru, and not just for a one-time experience. This is the kind of place you'll want to frequent, to enjoy a different taste of Peru with every visit. Each dish serves as a testament to the restaurant's commitment to maintaining the authentic essence of Peruvian cuisine, while also offering something unique and tantalizing for the local food scene.
Bistro Peru is indeed a welcome addition to the Sanford culinary landscape, bringing an exotic touch to the local food scene. I sincerely hope this restaurant continues to enrich our town with its fantastic food and exceptional service for many years to come. If you're looking for a new dining experience, don't hesitate to visit Bistro Peru - it's an...
Read moreSmall family buisness just starting out, they are super super friendly and have great potential to become a growing resteraunt down the road. Menu is a bit small but the items available have great presentation and flavor.
Meal started with a complimentary Canchita (Peruvian Popcorn) good flavoring not too salty.
Then i ordered a delicous papa a la huancaina (Boiled Potatoes in a Peru style aji chilly cheese sauce) and an inca cola (Peruvian brand soda).
For my meal I ordered bistec a lo pobre ( Steak, Rice, Fries, Eggs, and Salad). The steak was well cooked and seasoned and the sunny side up egg complimented well. Rice was fresh and had a great ratio for sticky yet clean. Fries were Peruvian Authentic made with the right potatoes. Salad to finish was a nice touch.
I asked for additional sauces to compliment my meal and was given a sweeter green chilli sauce and a red spicy chilly sauce that has a nice kicker in it. Would...
Read moreThird time here as the first two times was opening night and month, so we wanted to give them another shot. The pros: theyâre super friendly, good service and happy to see diverse cuisine in DT Sanford. The steak tallarĂn saltado was tasty. The cons: The lomo saltado the quality of the meat was lacking and raw. The flavor was so-so. The papa huancaina was bland, watery and not sure what cheese they used. The dishes we ordered out of 5 only one (tallarĂn saltado) was good. Being 1/2 Peruvian, growing up eating and now cooking Peruvian cuisine, my expectations for Bistro Peru were high. Perhaps because itâs a âfusionâ and not authentic Peruvian is why itâs missing the mark. However, we been to several Peruvian fusion restaurants and the fundamental flavors were present as well as the quality of the ingredients were there. Bistro...
