El Coquí is a little hidden gem in downtown Sanford that you don’t want to miss. Everything here is made fresh daily, and you can truly taste the difference. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that came out on warm Cuban bread, and it was absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor.
We also tried one of their fresh donuts, which was made that morning, and it melted in your mouth. All of their pastries are baked fresh daily, which makes every bite stand out compared to the typical coffee shop treats.

Read moreStopped by to try out food as I drive by this place weekly. When ordering one Sat morning, we got coffee and cashier asked if we wanted sugar. Not thinking anything of this, I said yes. Apparently it is an upcharge. On the receipt it said "extra sugar" ☹️ I am all for supporting local stores but minor things like this should be explained. "The coffee already has sugar in it, would you like extra?" Or "sugar is an upcharge" - Nope, none of that happened. "Would you like sugar with your coffee?" smh. Buster sandwich use to be a bomb now is hard to bite. I give it a try again and have to throw the fried food to the garbage since is burned inside.
