Rosa's Grill — Restaurant in Sansom Park

We were there Saturday July.6.2024 My wife ordered the carne asada, meat was not tender, she chipped a tooth and unknowingly swallowed the tooth. I ordered Huevos Rancheros, the eggs were overcooked the sausage tasted like little squares of Spam . The flour tortillas are made in house but they are greasy. I've never encountered greasy flour tortillas. We were looking for some place new to go and when I saw that Flour tortillas were made in house well needless to say we were gonna drive from Burleson TX to see and try. We will NEVER AGAIN GO TO ROSA'S GRILL. We were greatly disappointed. We were going to order two Mexican cokes but saw that the crossed out $2.50 each to $3.50 each. If we had ordered two that would have easily been $7.00 before we even ordered food. Even little hole in the wall grills like Rosa's are charging in the over the top PRICING. FOOL ME ONCE...

So the first time I came here a few weeks ago (because) I saw on Yelp or some review website that they had really good breakfast burritos. I would have to agree based on that first experience, but I went again today and while they were still really nice people, the breakfast burrito I got was maybe half the size it was last time. Maybe half. Here’s the thing. I’d give them another chance, and I don’t really care if it costs a little more but I want a burrito like I had the first time. Yes I could’ve ordered two, and had I’d known they shrunk by (more than) half I’d have done that. But once I get it it’s hot. This hole in the wall is full of surprises and the food is simply sublime. As one enters this establishment, one is transported to a friends house where one can anticipate delicious food. One feels like family here (and not in an awkward way). This is our breakfast spot for some authentic homestyle Mexican food. The menu is extensive and all of it has been amazing. The refried beans will make anyone confess. My personal favorite is the Menudo, its different for sure. It has a heavy Earthy taste and its just MEAN!
