I am about to write my first negative review ever. Normally I just write good reviews and if I don’t like something I just don’t go back, no need to be negative just spend your money elsewhere. The worst service I have received in the past decade? At least. I got to the restaurant about 10 minutes before they opened 6:50am. I’m on vacation so I go chill on the beach across the street for 10. As I walk in right at 7am one couple is in front of me. They grab a booth I sit at the breakfast bar just a single person. About 5 minutes later a waitress in a blue ball cap comes by and says “Hi how are you doing today?” I say good and she walks away. 7:10 I’ve finished looking at the menu the hostess gave me when I walked in, set it aside and am reading my magazine. No water, no coffee, no waitress. 7:20 a gentleman comes and sits two seats down from me. Blue cap shows up, greets him by name and gets him coffee and water. Looks my direction and holds her pointer finger in the air like ‘just a sec I’ll be there.’ She visits with him then comes over 7:25 and asks if she can get me something to drink. I order a coffee, a water and the corned beef hash benedict. At this point food is coming out of the kitchen for other people who came in after me and have waitresses who took and placed their order. I’m sitting at the breakfast bar watching the plates come up. Mine comes up at 7:33. Of course now I’m watching the clock and blue cap like a scientific experiment. She is wandering around back and forth to an area I cannot see, she goes to the hostess and whispers in her ear every few minutes, she never grabs any food so I’m not sure if she has other tables? I mean, I was the second person in the restaurant this morning. One dark haired waitress who is coming to grab plates a couple times notices my plate still sitting there, looks at the screen, sees it’s for me and grabs it over. She asks me if I need anything else and I reply a coffee refill would be nice. She calls out to blue cap by name and says can you get coffee. Blue cap says of course grabs the coffee walks right past me three seats down in the other direction asks that customer if they would like coffee, they say no and she goes and puts the pot back and resumes visiting with the hostess at the front station. Dark haired girl walks by and I ask her for a to-go container which she grabs me, I ask her for my check which she grabs me and I ask her if they pool their tips or keep them individually, she states they pool their tips. Then she sees my empty coffe cup and asks if I would like a coffee to go. I politely decline. I left $31.00 on a $30.99 tab. Sorry dark haired girl who was obviously working hard, trying to help and covering for her lazy coworker. No way am I giving blue cap more than a penny, if I had exact change I would have left it. The food was good and probably would have gotten 5 stars if it was hot...
Read moreSo, I was coming from LA via bus with my bestfriend, and I was looking for a breakfast place, while walking down the street, Yes it’s at walking distance from Bus stop, We found it, while it’s quite famous as well, opposite to the beach, there was small waiting since it’s being famous, you can either sit outside and enjoy the view or inside in the cozy ambiance. So at the first they served us with muffins , it’s complimentary guys Yayyaya, complimentary muffins, we ordered hot chocolate as seen in the picture with whipped cream,so I am a person who doesn’t like too sweet, though the hot chocolates are always sweet, so if you’re like me ask them to make it less sweet, I didn’t ask so I had to drink this sweet thing, And then we two ordered chicken avocado omelette We asked them to divide in two , so with it came fruits and potatoes as well, it’s up to you what do you want with it , you can have fries , hash browns or whatever so the quantity is so good that I wasn’t able to complete even the half plate, it was Tasty as well, also the manager David , I asked him to charge my iphone and he politely did it, staff was good, food was good, I think it’s a good...
Read moreI came in at 9:40 and was told 40 mins wait. So I took a walk around and headed back at 10:15 only to wait for another 45 minutes. We’re a party of 5 with 2 young children so imagine the hassle of waiting that long. When we were finally seated at 11:05 and placed our order, they already ran out of corned beef. So I ordered sirloin steak and asked it to be medium. When it came out 30 minutes later it was waaaay over well done, bad meat quality, very rubbery and cold. It’s almost looking like it was cooked in microwave?!
All other 3 orders were just pretty standard quality brunch items like eggs, pancakes, and potatoes… like seriously how bad can you screw these things out? Another thing when the food was served they hadn’t given us the utensils and we had to ask for those. Our server did not notice we had no utensils and about to leave us with the food.
Since I was already waiting a total of 2 hours more to eat, I called the server to tell her about the messed up steak, and she hd the manager wrote it off the check. Overall very bad experience, service and food quality! To top it all off we got caught in the rain right after we left chad’s. We won’t be...
