Mother Dough Bagels is my new neighborhood gem. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with the enticing aroma of freshly baked bagels and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Let's talk about the stars of the show: the bagels. They've absolutely nailed it, achieving a perfect balance of a soft, chewy interior with a satisfyingly crisp exterior. Purists like myself or an adventurous soul craving something new, their bagels hit. They offer all the classic flavors and spreads you'd expect, plus some truly inspired creations that are worth exploring, like furikake.

Bagels aside, it’s the shop's commitment to community and quality. The owners are passionate about giving back through their food, and it shines through in their use of organic ingredients and dedication to doing good.

They are literally hand-rolling the bagels, and it doesn’t get better than this.… and the fact that they are SOURDOUGH is chef’s kiss! And did I mention absolutely delicious?! I was blown away by these bagels—bagels are near and dear to my heart as a New Yorker—and these exceeded all expectations. They’re chewy with a crisp bite, each one crafted with care and packed with incredible flavor.

The atmosphere has a whimsical, Wes Anderson-esque vibe—charming and thoughtfully designed. You can tell the staff genuinely loves what they do, adding to the warm and inviting energy. The coconut americano was an unexpected bonus… we snagged out seats outside on the picnic tables!

Mother Dough Bagels has been on my list of places to check out and last Friday I happened to be in the area around 8am. There was a line that had formed by 7:55am. I waited about 20 minutes to order. Worth the wait! I got a salted bagel with whipped honey butter and an everything bagel, which I took both home to eat. Love that the bagels are sourdough, and organic. Both bagels were amazing. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, which was delicious and chocolatey. Next time I’ll try another flavor, and maybe a beverage.
