URBAN FLEA MARKET — Attraction in Santa Barbara

I last visited this store while travelling in early March and saw a lot of unique pieces while I was there and purchased a few smaller items.

However, I found the service to be lacking. When I called to ask about a piece that I was interested in to see if they still had it, I was met with an annoyed employee who seemed very disinterested in helping me find what I was looking for. I let the employee know that I had messaged the store's Instagram to inquire about the piece but received no response (which is why I called a few days later instead). The employee did not know what piece I was talking about, which is understandable to an extent because it is a larger store with many rooms and items, and they occasionally move things around. I told the employee that I could send pictures of the item that I took while I was visiting the store and they told me to send them to the store's email. I never received a reply via email, phone, or Instagram.

I am giving this store 3 stars because they have a wide range of unique items, but I am really disappointed with their communication. Usually when I ask about an item at a vintage, antique, or flea market store, one or more employees are knowledgeable about the pieces they have in the store and are more than willing to help me find what I'm looking for. Even if they no longer had the piece, receiving a reply to let me know that would have been appreciated. I think they...

WOW! Do you have hours to spare looking at all the treasures in this space? Because you'll need lots of time. It is not a place where you want to rush through, it's a place to savor. There are so many beautiful, wonderful, zany, amazing things to look at and purchase. This place has something for EVERYONE! Take the time it's so worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. You could get lost for a week wandering all the nooks and crannies in here. There's a definite bent toward 60s/70s/80s vintage items and it's almost overwhelming there are so many things to see. But it's an excellent place to shop if thrift and vintage is your thing. Particularly if you have the patience to sort through a lot.
