I recently visited Au Bon Climat for a wine tasting, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience. The diversity of wines they offer is impressive, showcasing an incredible selection of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from various vintages, along with other fun and approachable varietals. Their library of wines speaks to a deep dedication to crafting Burgundian-style wines that truly stand out for their complexity, elegance, and balance.
What truly made this visit unforgettable was the staff. They weren’t just knowledgeable—they were passionate and approachable, creating an atmosphere that felt both informative and inviting. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or just starting to explore, they make you feel at home while sharing their expertise.
If you’re a fan of French-inspired wines or simply want to enjoy an exceptional tasting experience, I can’t recommend Au Bon Climat enough. It’s a true gem for lovers of fine wine, and I’m already looking forward to...

I went in with five other of my girlfriends (all professionals in our forties) and we barely got through the door when she immediately told us that she can not accommodate six as we needed reservation before noon (which is not on there website and they were not open before noon). We noted that only four of us wanted wine tasting and the other two friend was going to go for a walk. Then she continued to say that she couldn't take us because of the "noise level" policy in a rude manner even if we only had four. The tasting room had three other people in there and there was still plenty of space available. If she was afraid that we be noisy she could have asked us to be quiet rather than turning us away because of their "noise level" policy. If we have been to many wineries in CA and WA and have never been turned...
Read moreAu Bon Climat is the best tasting room in Santa Barbara. Not only is the wine some of the best I've ever had, it's laid back and the employees are incredibly kind and knowledgable. When you go, ask for Nikki or Emily in particular. They're enthusiastic, funny, and will explain the different wines in a way that never makes you feel silly but instead makes you feel like it's actually something you can learn about. My husband and I signed up for memberships on day 1 and despite living in Los Angeles, we go up and visit as often as we can....
