Hubby and I came to Mr Chef on a date night because we were in the area and were on the lookout for some good Nepalese/Indian food. This restaurant was on the corner, but was a bit confusing because it was right next to an outdoor Mexican pop-up place. Found the storefront no problem and when we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the owner who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He showed us menus to order from at the front before we grabbed our seats. The menus are getting a re-do to be less fragile, but they were in the shape of India (how cool is that?!) We were unsure about what to order, so he asked us a few questions to help narrow in on some suggestions. We ended up getting an order of chicken "C" momo, Tawa Chicken Chilly, garlic naan, and a serving of rice. We figured we'd be ending up with leftovers and we were right because it was a ton of food. Everything was delicious. The momo had a wonderful crispy and tender texture and the sauces were a great complement. The Tawa Chicken Chilly was something totally new and unknown to us, recommended by the owner and it was so good. It was unlike any flavor curry we'd ever had before but was just as rich and spice-filled as a good curry would have. We asked for it to be mildly spicy for the sake of my husband and it was perfectly prepared. The garlic naan was arguably the best I've ever had. They were thin and crispy with just enough doughy softness to soak up and complement the Tawa chicken chilly well.
I was very pleased and impressed with our experience from start to finish and I look forward to...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Mr Chef Kitchen on their opening day, and it was an incredible experience! The combination of authentic Indian and Nepali flavors is a treat for the taste buds.
The Tandoori Hen was perfectly cooked – tender, moist, and bursting with flavor.
The garlic naan was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, with just the right thickness. I would ask extra garlic on it next time for that extra kick! The naan was the best I have eaten in a while.
The butter chicken paired beautifully with the naan and will delight those who enjoy a slight tang.
The ‘C’ chicken momo was a great Nepali fix and a fun addition to the Indian items we ordered – can’t wait to try the hot version next time! Personal recommendation - if you can handle medium Indian heat, get their hot version.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and Executive Chef Jackie made the experience extra special by engaging with diners and sharing insights about the fresh, high-quality ingredients. It shows they really care for customer satisfaction.
For variety, don’t miss the taco stand outside! The generously loaded, freshly made tacos with meat cooked right in front of you are a great complement to the restaurant’s offerings.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Indian and Nepali cuisine in a welcoming setting, this is the place to be. Highly recommend...

Food was simply outstanding! We tried the chicken sekuwa, chicken momos, butter chicken, garlic naan, and dum goat biryani, and every dish was bursting with flavor. To top it off, we had mango lassi and jamoon cake, both of which were the perfect sweet endings to our meal.
