Akita Sushi Gourmet Inc — Restaurant in Santa Clara

Horrible Experience !!!! For the last few years I have done pick up orders from the Santa Clara location because I live less than 2 miles away. I recently placed my usual order online, received the confirmation for payment and pickup. I have done this routine for sometime. When I got there they did not have my $30 order. We reviewed the order and it was routed to the Almaden location and done through Door Dash. The cashier tried to sort things out by redoing the order at the Santa Clara location, but some manager said NO !!!! First, I am not sure how it got rerouted to Almaden. Second, I have never ordered or used Door Dash. They wanted me to drive to the Almaden location after driving to the Santa Clara location, even though it was their rerouting error. The sushi is decent for the old price. Now prices have sky rocketed, quality has diminished, and now there are rerouting issues for online orders. No Thanks !!! I am done with Akita Sushi !!! FOOD TRUCK REVIEW ONLY.

Tried it for the first time with one of their food trucks. Food was good and portions where good. We did have 1 issue. When my gf paid, she was told a price that was way off from what the menu said. She's not the confrontational type so she let it slide. She addressed the issue to me a few seconds later. I noticed they changed the entire menu a few minutes later and the prices where around $5 more. I emailed them that they must charge the price displayed at the moment of purchase. Waiting for a response. But I told them they can't do that since it goes against policies from the BBB and they can be fined if they do dishonest things like this in the future. Would like to eat here again because the food was good. But I recommend taking a picture of the menu before hand to not be overcharged. Same with there food trucks. Haven't experienced something like this with other trucks but now I feel like being on edge...

This place makes Safeway sushi look great.

Ordered 3 roll + side.

Order accuracy: They completely missed the side. Called them about it when I got home, and their first response was to deny it. Said that there were no leftover bags there.

Food quality: the quality of food here is a joke. You want bad sushi, go to an american grocery store. You want terrible sushi, you come here.

Rice on the sushi was the wrong texture. The rolls do not have correct ingredients. The California roll was missing cucumber. The "tempura" seems like simple batter with shrimp. The cucumber salad is just sesame oil and soy sauce added with no marinade time.
