I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred restaurant, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? Visiting Las Delicias on Lyons in Newhall was certainly an experience to remember, but one that I never hope to repeat and would not wish upon anyone else. The staff is really rude which you will see right from the entrance. The place is small and dirty. If you are tempted to eat Mexican Food I would highly recommend El Pariente instead. The mark of a good restaurant is not necessarily its size, but the quality of its food and the generosity of its staff. With that being said, I must say that the service of the staff today was horrendous!! Not only are they rude and have no etiquette what’s so ever, they had the Nerve to yell…YES yell at my mother. Now I don’t what planet they think it’s okay to yell at their customers but it did not sit well with me. I asked to speak to a manager and of course none was available. Never go to this place if you don't want your mood to be ruined! I will never go there again !!! It was...
Read moreThis place has really gone downhill over the years. Used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Newhall. I’m done though. Just got 4 chicken tacos yesterday. The meat was very over cooked and dry. The onion and cilantro both had this dull nasty color to it and gave off this abysmal odor. It was shocking. It was almost like the onions and cilantro were pickled, but worse. I believe what happened is they put the hot chicken right off the grill with cilantro and onion on the tortillas and then closed them up with aluminum foil before they could cool down at all. And they just got overcooked in the foil. The aluminum foil was burnt when I opened it. Huge disappointment, but this isn’t the first time something similar to this has happened, so I will not be returning. It’s been going downhill for months. This was the final...
Read moreThis Las Delicias is not as good as the one in Golden Valley in Canyon Country. They don’t take credit, only cash. They conveniently have an ATM inside that will charge $2.50 to withdrawal. The meals I ordered were not good. The wet burrito was not hot and the cheese was not melted cheese, and of course it didn’t melt if the burrito was not hot. The asada nachos were small and didn’t look tasty. After tasting the food at The Delicias in Golden Valley, you can’t compare. The quality is quickly identified and the flavor is incomparable. I ate the food only because I was hungry but honestly I was unable to enjoy the food. Money worth...
