Can't comment on the food because we never got served. Waited about 15 mins and never got served. A white lady came in after us and got served way before us. Mind you there was only 4 customers total who were seated and eating. She was more concerned with bringing them their bill than taking our order. There was no sense of urgency to serve us, not sure if it was because we're Mexican but I sensed a bit of racism. Which is funny because she looked like a minority herself. We're also visiting from Idaho and definitely not impressed with that particular place. And just an fyi I was born and raised in California. Definitely won't be going back there. Decided to go to the Egg Plantation and completely different service! Amazing!! Food and service is great! Friendly people all around! No, I was not quick to jump to any conclusions. Again the place was practically empty. If you noticed the white lady that came in after us got served before we did. And if you had really looked at the camera you would have seen the other 4 customers had all been served and you would have also seen we went up to her to order and she told us she'd come to us. So she was well aware that we were there. It's not my job to find out what's the issue. In order to provide good customer service you make the client aware of the situation. And if I felt discriminated you cannot tell me I can't feel that way. And because I am from Cali I know how minorities also discriminate, so no I did not get it wrong. That's not being harsh that's being honest in how we felt. Next time do better or hire more people. Had she acknowledged us at least once when she took the check to the other couple I would have understood. She seen us and still didn't say anything. Her lack of customer service is on the owner so again do better!

This is the cutest little café! The owner, Maria, is absolutely lovely! Her jovial personality and smile is contagious! She greeted my father and I with a warm smile, and so did her staff. She even complimented my little turtle keychain! 🐢 My dad ordered the eggs benedict and let me tell you, those were done PERFECTLY! Gorgeous runny yolk, perfectly cooked whites, delicious potato pancake, the sauce was delicious, and topped with just the right amount of smoked paprika! I ordered the huevos rancheros, and while I will say they needed a little salt, they were also done perfectly. Exactly how I asked for them, and very tasty! I loved that the tortilla wasn't overly greasy, and crispy! I also got a banana chia muffin, and wow. They are wonderfully moist and delicious! Just sweet enough, but not overly so. Both my dad and I enjoyed it! And the coffee, ugh - don't get me started. Definitely the BEST laté in SCV. Her café is adorned in real, thriving plants, and the decor is cute and fitting for the area. I was also very impressed to find that we were served fresh water - not tap! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family. Thank you so much Maria and staff! 😁

Wow, this has become one of my favorite places . I can come here twice, 3x time or more per week. The food is so fresh, great flavors and combinations. Portions are well in size. Food presentation is also beautiful. The juices are so refreshing, perfect to go along with anything savory. I always get a honey bee latte with cinnamon and it’s to die for, they always serve it so beautifully and warm. Now there is a new menu and I tried their syrniki and fell in love, they’re like these small pancakes made out of cottage cheese served with fresh strawberry jam and berries. Now I need to learn how to make them at home. As far as service goes, can not complain. The owners are such hosts, you feel like your being received by a welcoming home. This is not a client / servers experience, this is a true making your customers your friends experience. Music while eating is perfect, it’s calming and peaceful instrumental. One last thing that I loved about this place is that I would bring my boy🐾🩵🐾 often on brunch dates and they would always ask if I would like water for him and be so kind with his presence.

I came in on the second day they were open. I was the only customer at 6:30pm, other than two friends of the owner who were eating and speaking with him. I was surprised by the price point being higher than expected for the juice ($8 each) and the fact that juices are not fresh juiced when ordered but bottled (presumably in the morning).

I was impressed by the gluten-free and vegan options (my wife is both), so I decided to try a starter to see the quality of their food. I order the sweet potato wedges with the chipotle cashew dip. I found out they had no dip and only the garlic aioli, so I got that instead.

The theme of the restaurant is confusing. The tables are more like a coffee shop and there was loud R&B style music playing in the background.

The sweet potato wedges came in a good time but I was severely disappointed. They were lukewarm-cold, soggy, and greasy. There was no seasoning at all on the fries (not even salt). They were displayed in a nice ceramic bowl with straight sides but the aioli came in a to-go dish with a lid (marked with a 10/26 date, which is two days before they even opened). I used the garlic aioli which was runny and had very little flavor outside of a strong garlic taste which overpowered the under-seasoned sweet potatoes.

After a few "wedges" which were cut more in size like large steak fries, I couldn't really bare eating it anymore. As I packed up to leave the owner/chef finally came over to interact with me for the first time. He asked how the food was and I told him I was disappointed. I explained that the potatoes were cold, soggy, and that I had used up the whole napkin due to the oil. Without apologizing for my experience, he started to explain to me how the wedges are baked and not deep fried (which I guess is supposed to explain the cold, soggy, and greasy consistency???). I replied by saying that using no oil, on parchment, at 400 degrees yields hot, crispy wedges (something my wife and I do at home regularly). His only response was, "Well, this is the way we do things here."

I told him I did not know if my wife and I would be back to try anything else even though we really appreciate the concept. I wished him luck and grabbed my stuff to leave.

He never made any apology for the fact that the food was cold. Nor did he make any attempt to make a better impression.

Other items on the menu look good, mostly standard fair for this kind of restaurant concept. Although, I doubt much of it will be executed well since the owner/chef does not seem to care about the quality of the food.

It is frustrating for people who are seeking to produce and introduce healthy food to a community make excuses for poor quality and cannot be humble enough to apologize for cold food. I guess hungry families will keep going to jack in the box down the street... at...

Well, if you enjoy the ambiance of clean, polished, concrete floors with a European style cafe look then this is right up your alley. It's very good for the soul in this fast paced, chaotic, environment we live in. But, you know, you can find this ambiance at other locations. What you won't find at those other locations is the food...it is soooo good AND HERE'S WHY. If you have food allergies like my wife has, she cannot simply go to any restaurant. I've had my share of ER visits with my wife in anaphylaxis after eating at very good restaurants after describing to the waiter her food allergies. That has never happened here and here is why. The food here is organic or sustainable farmed. No pesticides. It's one of the very few restaurants in the Santa Clarita area that she can eat at. I know more and more people are suffering from food allergies and immune compromised health issues. Organic foods without food additives are one of the few, if not only solutions to combat those issues for many people. However, it's very expensive to cook that way. We spoke with Maria of Harvest Cafe, who is a pleasure to speak with in her eastern European accent, and she said they are struggling to keep the prices down to maintain the organic fair. What would help Maria to keep the prices down are more customers. So if you love delicious, healthy food, and especially have any food allergies that prevent you from going out to eat, you will not be disappointed at the Harvest Cafe. It may even...
