Went here for Sept. 26 birthday. What a little gem snuggled right next to the harbor. The weather was lovely, the food divine, and the waiter superb! I could not ask for more. Great company (wifey) delicious homemade ravioli with marinara sauce made from scratch, fresh bread baked from their own bakery. Yeah, I said their own bakery. Who does that anymore? Aldo's does. The waiter was fast, kind and accurate. Very personable young man named Michael. I was impressed with some birds I have never seen before flying around the harbor. I asked our waiter Michael if he knew the name of them. He did not, however he came back later to tell me the name of the odd looking little bird that made a peculiar sound. Apparently, he asked someone who knew the answer. I appreciated the fact that he went out of his way to find out for me. He also remembered my name "Angel" and told me to enjoy my birthday at the end of our meal. I am a stickler when it comes to Customer Service. I have trained many people for my old company Xerox so I expect the best wherever I go and Aldo's gives me just that. Great food made by someone that is obviously passionate about their cooking. Great scenery of the harbor and ocean and Great Customer Service! What more can you ask for really? Aldo's restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri (Food Network) so we had to go scope it out for ourselves, so glad we did. Thanks Guy Fieri! We also went to Aldo's Italian Bakery Soquel, CA and once again the baked goods were delicious and the Customer Service Excellant. Those those Aldo's. They know what their doing. Treat yourself to some really good Italian food at Aldo's I recommend the homemade raviolis in marinara sauce. You will thank me later. Angel from The...

I usually don't write reviews but I had to this time. I was all about going back to Aldo's after my first time May 2003. We got married on the beach a very casual small wedding so we ate at Aldo's. Everything was great expect the doggy poo on the deck close to use but I over looked that. I had the crab omelet it was really good I never had one before I was blown away. This time around Sept 28th it was awful. The fish for fish in chips had no flavor very blah and my husband put tons of stuff on it too. The kids meals are super super tiny and no drink one of the kids meals came with a chicken stripe so small it was smaller than a chicken nugget. I had the shrimp sandwich not only was the shrimp super the tiniest thing some were hot some ice cold and the sauce was soo sweat I could barely get through it. I seriously could of made the sandwich at home in like two minutes it was nothing special I was really disappointed. And of course its not cheap but we were expecting a lot more. We will probably not be going back. I feel super bad afterwards too since I wanted to go back so bad and it was terrible I felt so bad for my family. I wont even mention the waitress I know they were rushing due to a wedding or something later that day but put a smile on at...

I went to this restaurant on April 9th, 2022 and received horrendous service. We were a party of 3 and were behind an older couple. We arrived around 245pm. The older couple in front of us were greeted and seated with no problem. We were then told that we could not be seated because the kitchen was closed. When asked why the older and white couple in front of us was able to be seated we were given a couple of run around answers, "we're closed, the kitchen is closed now..". We asked to speak to a manager and the most abrasive lady came out. She was obnoxiously loud drawing attention to us. Refused to listen to a single word and repeatedly kept saying "no, we're not going to seat you." When we asked for the owners information she refused to give it. We leave to our car but sit and wait to see how they treat anyone else who came to be seated (because they were in fact not closed) and a large party was seated after us. These were absolutely discriminatory actions. We are Black and Mexican. The older couple seated before us was white and the party seated after us was white. This place has disgusting practices is openly discriminating against people of color. Zero stars and I hope...

Lovely location, overlooking the Santa Cruz Harbor. Great service. My Prawn quesadilla was delicious, as were our cocktails, but my wife's Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos were less than spectacular. We will definitely come back (just won't order the fish tacos again. Had brunch there today. Tables spaced very well, service good, as usual. My wife had the harborside breakfast with two eggs, two pancakes, and two slices of bacon, with OJ. As I had previously had their huevos ranchero (OK but not great), and their classic eggs Benedict (OK but not great), I went for the prawn quesadillo again, along with a spicy bloody Mary, and it was GREAT! (Sorry, the photo was done after I scarfed 3/4 of the delicious quesadillo). And the boody Mary was pretty good sized, and tasty, with 3 gherkins an olive and an onion. Great to be able to walk to Aldos!

Aldo’s is a wonderful restaurant on the Santa Cruz harbor. Displaced several years ago by seawall reconstruction, they haven’t lost a beat. They’ve set up kitchen in a modular building along the harbor front with a wonderful patio area. Menu has pretty much stayed the same, which is wonderful. They offer their full drink menu as well (love their bloody marys). Their Italian sausage is house made and delicious and they’re famous for their fugazi (and raisin fugazi) bread. Wonderful selection of omelettes and scrambles as well. Everything’s fresh and delicious. Staff has transitioned well to the temporary location and service is excellent.

Great place right by the marina. They are super laid back in their attire and allow pets which makes them even more inviting. We reached around noon and were able to get seated right away. The weather was pretty nice so sitting outside was pleasant. We got the coconut shrimp and onion rings as appetizers and the clam chowder and crab cakes Benedict as the entrees. Everything was delicious! I also got a hot chocolate and it was quite good. The entrees are decent sized so again, I didn't finish so this shall be my dinner :) Do recommend them if you're planning to come to Santa Cruz..
