Hey, you’re great in so many ways. You offer a Beyond Burger for vegans and healthy people now- that is SO good. I know taking the meat patty out of your burgers must save you a bunch of money, so, the Beyond Burger is a little pricey, about the equivalent of your beef patty. So, a $4 upcharge?! That’s honestly not catering to vegan diets, that’s exploiting vegan diets :( Beyond Meat is continuing to grow in popularity, has just gone public, and is selling in bulk. To charge four dollars on top of your veggie burger price is ludicrous. To attract vegetarians/vegans/plant-based/Catholics during Lent, please offer an alternative, not profiteer. Looking forward to a burger, priced to subtract your meat price, then add a Beyond Burger. After tax and tip, my total was $14. The food involved in your burger (bun, lettuce, tomato, sauce, pickle) with a Beyond patty is about $4. Of course I understand labor- which is the exact same as it would be for making any other burger at your establishment. Your employees do a great job! Your labor in purchasing this new product isn’t equivalent to that upcharge. Nor the piece of white paper taped to your menu stating your HAVE BEYOND BURGER! +$4.00! An advertising campaign for meatless options? Ok factor that into the price. But the pieces of paper at your store and stickers don’t equate. Woulda given you four stars, but I’m out four bucks,...
Read moreI’m disheartened to have to leave a bad review but our experience tonight was horrible. This was our second time trying Betty’s Burgers. The first time was a few years ago in Capitola and it wasn’t great so we haven’t been back, but since we live close to the Seabright location we thought we’d give it another go and unfortunately this was a huge mistake.
We ordered the basic Betty and the mad mex along with 50/50 curly rings to go. We added sautéed mushrooms to the basic Betty and bacon to the mad mex. Unfortunately, neither sandwiches came with these add ons that we paid extra for. The mad mex didn’t even have the guacamole on it that was included in the description. Since we ordered to go we didn’t realize this until we got home. Moreover we requested the burgers to be M and they were well cooked. Overall the presentation of the burgers was very sloppy and unappetizing which should have stopped us there. In addition, the curly fries and onion rings were cold even though we picked up our food at the scheduled pick up time. To make matters worst, we both had upset stomachs after eating our meals.
This was a truly disappointing and downright bad experience. After paying additional money for add ons that were not included as well as getting sick after eating our $42 meal, I can confidently say we will...
Read moreWe were looking at the awful devastation of Capitola and Santa Cruz from our recent storms, and on our way home to the mtns we passed this tiny hamburger joint. Betty's Burgers. We were very hungry and decided to give it a try. The menu was extensive, such a wonderful surprise, and it was hard to make our choices. We went with the chicken tenders, house salads, baskets of fries and a root beer float. They had their own ice cream case with lots of choices. Another surprise. They offered their own rendition of thousand island and ranch dressing. We got both for dipping. The tenders were AMAZING, flavorful, thick and juicy, lightly breaded and not greasy at all. The fries were thin and mushy inside, just like I like them, however, there were many choices of fries from sweet potato to curly. The salads could of had better lettuce choices, but the added almonds and raisins made it delicious. We will definitely go...
