Over the years the drive thru late night crew have mainly been really good and hard working. I've only had problems more recently as Jack in the Box doesn't seemed too concerned about how service is running in their stores. I had one issue at a nearby store where an employee lied about being closed for an hour and the district manager reached out to make it right. What happened the other night to me was kinda more severe in terms of poor customer treatment. My credit card was taken and handed back to me after a really long wait in drive thru line. To be fair they were busy but also seemed like they weren't moving fast enough. The young man asked for my cc again before handing my food to me. I asked him why as he didn't seem to realize he already charged me. Communicating this was hard bc for some reason he didn't understand me. I had to repeat over and over that he took my card already. He then printed a receipt for the wrong order asking me if it was mine bc at this point he didn't know exactly what he had charged or not. He keeps telling me to pay again and holds the pinpad out the window showing my total. I logged into my banking app and saw they charged me for a different order that was $5 over my order total. This mistake would've been fine to correct and I would've been calm with them dealing with it but another young man comes over to help. I ask him for a supervisor since I couldn't communicate effectively with the man who charged me wrong. He repeatedly raises his voice to me saying "what'd you order!" and eventually says "there is no supervisor" I put him in his place verbally telling him to chill out and not talk down to a customer who's order you guys messed up. I wasn't being rude they responded that way. He then asks me to tell him my original total. Well I didn't exactly have the # since I got not receipt and was charged the improper amount. The 2nd guy angrily grabs the extra amount I was overcharged in cash and hands it to me. They never responded by saying sorry they got upset that they messed up and treated me like dirt even though they overcharged me and almost charged me 2x. The first guy would've charged me a total of $25 for a $10 order. He couldn't communicate with me after the mistake and wouldn't believe me when I told him of his mistake that he already charged me! I feel like the whole affair is really due to very poor service and social skills by the young guys running the drive thru. The last thing I asked for was the managers name. The 1st guy told me over and over to my face "we can't tell you". I told them both I would reach out to the district manager and so far have only notified a different one. At this point I'm kinda over Jack in the Box and the poor drive thru service. I don't expect people to be perfect or never make mistakes, only to not be treated poorly and fix the situation myself as the customer. It makes me just avoid the headache of dealing with the people...
Read moreI stopped at Jack-in-the-Box cause I’ve for the most part part always had good experiences with Jack-in-the-Box. I enjoy their food their service in the restaurants. On this day however, it was not the case. I wasn’t feeling well and I needed to use the restroom and Jack-in-the-Box is always had a open door policy with the restroom until I got to this one when they told me I couldn’t use the restroom unless I bought something first, so I’ve had to go wait in line to buy a taco so that they would open the door for me so that I could go use the facilities. It was embarrassing demeaning and as far as I’m concerned, unprofessional on their part. But after that, you would think they must have a pretty stellar looking bathroom if they were keeping everybody out of it that isn’t a customer, and that wasn’t the case either it is dirty not horribly dirty but definitely not clean. I had to take toilet paper and clean the seat off just so I could use the toilet. There was a sign in the bathroom that said it was cleaned hourly. However, the dried up urine and whatever else was on there kind of makes me think maybe they’re not really getting into it every hour, or at the very least not doing a good job. I work in field service so I was out of town and couldn’t go home to use my own restroom or I would’ve. I don’t know if this is normal or not but when I arrived there, there were pallets of food sitting outside the restaurant in the parking lot near the drive-through, which is a very dirty area, but regardless of that it sat out there for more than 30 minutes because it was there when I got there and it was there when I left . That doesn’t inspire confidence in the food that’s for sure. In the future I will not be returning to this Jack-in-the-Box...
Read moreI needed to use the restroom and get a small fry. I stopped inside and spoke to the team member at the cash register. I explicitly told the team member that I needed to use the restroom, and that I wanted to purchase a fry first, then use the restroom and pick up my fry afterward. Initially, the team member did not greet me nor respond. They rolled their eyes and put their head down a few times. I asked them if they could take my order and if I might use their restroom. The team member told me that in order to use the restroom, I had to purchase something first, which was already my intention. After purchasing a small fry for nearly $4, the team member unlocked the bathroom. Upon exiting the bathroom, I noticed the team member was standing at the entrance door, looking at the bathroom door. The team member then entered the staff area. My fry wasn't ready yet. The team member fixed the fry, bagged it, and handed it to me without a thank you or any customer service-oriented farewell. There were no napkins inside the bag. I looked for napkins without any assistance, then I asked for some, and the team member simply pointed to them. Why was the team member watching and waiting for me to come out of the bathroom? Why were the fries not bagged when I exited the bathroom? Why was there no napkin in my bag? So many...
