My daughter mentioned to us tonight (7/30/23) at dinner that Marianne's opened up a new store. We have enjoyed the Ocean St. store for several decades and the only problem was sometimes finding parking there. So we went to FairAve. to see what it was like. Plenty of street and lot parking in the area. Same line of people waiting to get their IC fix. Looked around but no number ticket machine in sight. So we queued up behind people who looked last in line. Only waited a few minutes before being helped. I ask for a half gallon of Mocha Chip, my usual. As the box was being hand packed I noticed that it was "blonder" than normal. I confirmed that she was scooping out Mocha Chip and she said, "yes, but it was Treat's version". I had just noticed a minute earlier that there were a couple of Treat trucks in the lot and that the sign board above the flavors had Marianne's, Treat and I believe Polar Bear was the third brand. I've had Treat ice creams at Sweet Retreat many times before. I now recall reading that Treat sold off their equipment to Marianne's about two years ago. A surprise but still a pleasant one. It would be nice if the flavors board was re-arranged to show which brands they are from. So my advice is that you ask for a taste before assuming what you are getting is exactly what...
Read moreThere is something about going to the Marianne’s ice Cream Factory that makes this ice cream experience tastes more decadent.
Many many innovative fresh dairy flavors to choose and sample from. It’s quite hard to make a decision with all of the choices.
We have been here several times lately and left the guessing up to the ice cream scoop experts behind the counter. ALL Excellent flavor combos. Our go-to is chocolate. There are endless flavors that go well with chocolate.

Read moreAmazing selection of flavors to chose from. Place seems fairly new, other reviews suggest a few months old. This seems to be a bit of a factory outlet kind of a place expecting people to buy and leave rather than sit and enjoy, though they have a few seats on a bench available outside. There is not much of an atmosphere but the quality of the ice creams is outstanding and the staff is friendly so that makes up for the lack of atmosphere. I would definitely come back here just for the unique flavors. They do seem to have varieties by brand so there is a chocolate from Marianne’s and one from another brand therefore I recommend you try. Their portions are justifying the high price and I found that the Junior double or triple isn’t worth the small saving compared to the regular scoop. My favorite was the...
