Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

They started to improve, but about a week ago 8/2023 They got worse, they swapped all the workers, no idea why but this place actually became the worst I’ve ever been to in all of California.

Workers sit down on the tables where customers eat, there are very few tables. They are sitting being on their phones and as soon as a customer walked in they scatter to pretend to work.

They put the tv super loud when we arrived, they did not want us to eat there. Then another time they didn’t have a cashier, I waited so long that I ended up leaving.

There is a girl that “works” here, she’s always sitting in the dinning area on her phone. Every time we visit she is in the same spot. There sometime are other workers sitting around as well. The ones that are sitting are rude workers & do a bad job.

There are some good workers but only if you’re lucky you will get them. Best to ask them when they work so you only go when they are there. Since these new workers arrived the standards are very low. I noticed that nobody dones inside anymore & isn’t as busy.

There is also a male worker who is either recording guests in the lobby area, or just being on his phone. The new workers make me uncomfortable. It’s why you must beware when...

I called to order a King Arthur Supreme. I wanted to do a little change. I wanted to swap out the Linguisa for extra, mushrooms. Now I've done this before at other round table locations, as well as mountain mikes. There never was an issue. Well, here they can do the change but want to charge extra for the mushrooms. I said "Linguica is more expensive than mushrooms, so why would you charge me extra for mushrooms? when you're actually saving money by not adding the linguica" She had no response. Let's be honest, it's simple to do, but if you want to make it difficult, then you'll lose customers it's that simple. I decided to take my business to Upper Crust Pizza, just up the block from Roundtable Pizza. We ordered a King Arthur’s Supreme (Combo) with a little extra red sauce, and it was one of the best pizzas I have had in a very long time. The crust was cooked to perfection, not too thin, or too thick so there wasn’t any crust left on the plate.. And also to my amazement the extra red sauce was added to perfection. All the time I ask for this at other pizza restaurants they either add too little or too much. The delivery driver was also very friendly and brought all the extra necessary items we needed to enjoy our pizza that arrived steaming hot.
