We decided to go for dine in as it was one of the very few restaurants that was open late. When it was time to order I inquired on the size of the $12 salad as I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t super small for the price. The employee who was ringing us in gave me a weird look and sarcastically responded, “I don’t know, it’s salad sized” which kind of caught me off guard. I’m pretty easy going as I worked in food service for several years myself, maybe he was just having an off day? I’ll be honest It wasn’t a great first impression, but we hung in there because we were starving and the place was packed so we assumed the food was good. The employee gave us a buzzer so we would know when our food was ready, but the buzzer never went off. Trying to get to our table was a nightmare, it was obvious that this must be a college hangout spot which I have no issue with. The real problem was that everyone was hammered drunk and blocking all of the walking paths to the section of the outdoor seating we were going to sit at. I politely said excuse me and was given a look that I was impeding on their fun, the folks immediately went back to their conversation without budging. It was loud so maybe they didn’t hear me? I, a bit louder this time, said please excuse me. Yet again nobody cleared the way for us to get past them so I had to basically force my way past them, which only seemed to aggravate them more. We were met with dirty looks as we squeezed past them. I know this isn’t necessarily the restaurants fault, but it was super off putting. The employee serving the food came up and showed us 2 pizzas and asked us if they were the pizzas we ordered, they were not. He rushed away and then came back with 2 other pizzas asking again if they were ours, one of which was 1 of the pizzas we ordered. They served my boyfriend his food and just kind of wandered off. About 5 minutes later he came back and showed us ANOTHER pizza asking if that was mine, indeed it was. We got personal pizzas and they were way smaller than expected, even for personal sized pizzas. We paid roughly $16 per pizza, but honestly they were delicious. The noise from the drunk college kids was overwhelming and did ruin the experience a bit. It was unhelpful that the service we’d received from start to finish was…lacking. When I went to the employee who rang us in to ask for a box (no other employee in sight at the time) he seemed super irritated with the request. It’s more than likely we’ll give this spot another chance, but probably much earlier in the day to try to avoid the rowdy crowds we encountered during this visit.
Editing to add: Owner responded to the review which I really appreciate, I plan to reach out to the number that was provided to discuss the experience as they requested. I do want to add it sounds like it was likely just tourists that were drinking too heavily and acting obnoxious as the college is on break for the summer. This location isn’t too far from the Boardwalk and, with it being late in the evening, it makes sense people would flock there for a good time following the Boardwalk shutting down...

Highly efficient system. I cannot say one bad thing about this location EXCEPT their bad decision to bring a location to my hometown Fresno. I love Woodstock however the building they are choosing on Shaw and cedar at the old willaker's building will not work I take it they are getting a good deal on the lease I still hope they get out of it and choose another building north of Shaw as that is a very cursed location and they will not get enough business there to substain and I do not believe that the Fresno people of today as it is a different culture now that it was 30 years ago will "FLOCK " to this proposed Fresno location like patrons flock to the Santa Cruz and San Louis Obispo locations. Santa Cruz and San Luis Obispo are more diverse populations Fresno is not diverse as much as those cities. That should be taken into account. The citizens here seem to think that me and Ed's and round table are the best pizza ever which is quite sad but it's what they think and I don't believe they'll change their tune on that even with Woodstock so as a loyal Woodstock fan I would say stay away from Fresno and let us come to you somewhere else. A better location would be cedar and Herndon or first and bullard or first in herndon there are other pizza locations there but they are all low...
Read moreI will start my review by saying that the pizza was pretty tasty. Other than that the whole experience there was frustrating and disappointing. We waited for about 50 minutes before an employee came out and told us they mixed up our pizza order and would fast track our correct order. That took another 15 minutes, and they still gave us the wrong pizza. We ordered the Cruz Classic and they forgot to put on the olives and mushrooms :/ We decided to eat the pizza anyway because at that point we had been waiting over an hour and were hungry. I had just gotten off work and had saved my appetite knowing I'd be eating pizza that evening. One of our friends went to speak to a server to let them know we got the wrong order again and to get the olives and mushrooms to top the pizza and thankfully they did. Then they tried to gaslight him by telling him that our table which was not true. The damn audacity. And while all this was happening another friend went to order a drink and they forgot about that and after 30 minutes she went back up to ask for her drink, and they gave her the wrong margaritas. Like I said before, having been waiting so long it was easier to just take her wrong drink and enjoy it. Anyway yeah having to wait so long made the whole experience not great. I knew we should've just gone to pizza my heart( down the street) . The only reason we didn't is because we wanted to support the UCSC women's...
