I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this particular Bruxie location. Management of a restaurant is clearly very important to its success, because there is an enormous difference in the quality of my experience between this one and other location's I have visited, such as a WONDERFUL one in Irvine that made me absolutely LOVE Bruxie. Therefore, I was excited to come across it at The Promenade, but ended up being immensely disappointed. There was a whole slew of issues with this location, most of all but certainly not least being the incredibly RUDE service that I experienced. Just because you're located on the touristy Promenade doesn't mean you should be operating a business in this way.
First of all, the food here was AWFUL! Not the quality that I had come to expect from Bruxie at all!! It was so disappointing. The chicken was all burnt, not juicy at all. They were all just skinny, crispy, flavorless chicken tenders. On top of that, everything had just been thrown into the bag, with the napkins underneath the fries. What a mess! They also didn't include any of the sauces that I had asked for, which brings me to my next point - the horrendous service.
I don't even know where to begin with the service, it was all just completely unacceptable and disrespectful how they were all acting. It takes forever to order because they are clearly disinterested in what they are doing. We then had to wait over twenty minutes for our simple to-go order as we continually felt irritated by all the employees rough housing and yelling and shouting and fooling around with each other, not actually doing any work. When they finally brought out our food (which was burnt, unpleasant, and had none of my requested sauces), the guy was mumbling "12", my order number, so I didn't hear him until he was right up at the table. He then continued to just stand there for a good twenty seconds saying "number 12" over and over again, clearly mocking me. What sort of manager would find behavior such as that acceptable?! This place clearly has extremely poor training and oversight of its employees. This was absolutely inappropriate, rude, and unacceptable, and no customer should ever be treated that way. Especially one that had been respectful and patiently waiting. Ridiculous.

Read moreDon't order takeout or delivery from them. If I could give a ZERO rating, this is what they would get. After placing a take out order on Yelp, I went over to pick up my food. When I got there, the cashier said they never received my order and that it has been happening alot. So I showed him my credit card was charged for the order. He was willing to help me until the manager shows up and I tell him I'm here to pick up my food but your employee is saying you guys never got my order. I also show him the charge on my card. He then tells me I should call Yelp and tell them to send the order again. So, reluctantly, I call them. The woman looks up my order and calls the restaurant to confirm the order and resends it. I waited another 15 to 20 minutes and go up to the counter. They tell me my order is ready but still waiting for yelp to send the order through again. That's when I had it. This is the worse show of customer service I've ever experienced. I was willing to be patient because I work in customer service and understand when things go wrong. However, this manager was not trying to help at all. You can clearly see I placed and got charged for the order. The food is right there on the counter but yet you're waiting for the order to come through even though they CALLED you to confirm it. This is they shittiest service. Why dont YOU the manager pick up the phone and straighten it out since it happens "alot" instead of making the customer do it. Maybe their food is good, maybe not.....I'll never know after 1 hour, I walked away...

We ordered from GrubHub the following: 3 original sandwich for Raul C, Raul A and Emanual, El Jefe for Tony, Nashville Hot fried chicken for Hector, Orig. seasoned tenders for Sal, Mushroom and grilled chic salad for Desiree, Grilled chick sandwich for Kelly, Buffalo Tenders for Mary. 3 fried pickles, 3 slaws What we received: Melinda, Lorraine and Sevi ordered 4 piece tenders (one had honey mustard 2 had BBQ sauce) Nick ordered 2pc BBQ tenders, Betsy wanted a Crispy waffle sandwich, Derek missed out on his Ck BBQ waffle Sandwich, Jeff ordered an El Jefe with no red onions, Eri will never get his Original sandwich, I ended up eating Davids Burger And they sent a salad that is the total opposite of Mushroom and grilled chicken. NO fried pickles NO slaws. We ate the food for Nick, Melissa, Lorraine, Sevi, Betsy, Derek, Jeff, Eri and David. It was all very good and GrubHub was great at working out the refund. Bruxie would not acknowledge any fault on their side because that was the only Large GrubHub order they had. Maybe Nick, Melissa, Lorraine, Sevi, Betsy, Derek, Jeff, Eri and David ordered from Doordash?
