Worst CAVA experience ever.!!!! I love CAVA and have eaten it hundreds of times, but this was the worst experience..!!! Not because of only 1 but numbers of reasons… on October 1st,2023 @12:30pm. First, I went to CAVA santa monica to get 10 Falafal bowls for my birthday get together, as they don’t do catering and couldn’t order it in advance. I didn’t mind waiting there as I understand that they have to make everything and it might take time. But, manager Audrey was like we cannot take huge walk-in orders. I requested her that we are 4 people picking up 10 bowls, can we order 2-3 bowls/person? She refused to even listen and was repeating the same stuff. Second, I got out of the CAVA and ordered online to pick for 9 bowls. It was showing 20 minutes or so. After half an hour I went in asking to pickup my online order amd again she was so rude and told me with a bad attitude to wait for another 15-20 minutes. And asked me to step aside so rudely otherwise she would call the customer service and cancel the whole order of mine. Third, they started making my order after I went in to pickup. After 15 minutes, it was ready and when I was asking for sauce/dips, which are 1 or 2 per bowl, in case of this I should get max 18 dips. But I was asking for 15 dips, and again Audrey was so rude and telling other employees not to give this much dips. This was the worst restaurant experience overall and I feel so sad that some people just don’t understand how to talk to the customers and they don’t value their customers. Read moreI had Cava for this first time and it wasn’t the absolute best experience. I ordered online, picked up the order and when I returned to my location- I noticed the food was good but something was off. I looked at the ticket and noticed there were a couple of items missing. So, I called. I spoke to the manager, Jasmin, and she informed me that at the time of the order, a couple of items were missing and apologized, etc.. she was very friendly. Since it was my first time and she wanted me to have full experience, she invited back the next day for her to personally make my bowl. The bowl she made was the ABSOLUTE BEST! Probably the best meal I’ve had in a long time.
They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression, but Jasmin’s customer service was so amazing that I completely forgot the first impression and the food was so good that I am definitely a Cava stan!
Online order tip: call ahead to ask if they are out of any items before placing the order on the app. It’s supposed to disable when they run out, but doesn’t always get...
Read moreTerrible sandwich making. Got 2 sandwiches with the honey harrissa chicken. Our sandwiches were completely soaked in the chicken juice and oil. Not to mention as soon as i opened my sandwiches they both poured with grease and juice all over . I couldn't even eat it like a regular sandwich, i had to pull over on the side road get out and eat in outside. They definitely need to work on keeping the sandwiches clean and manageable to eat on the go. This was my first time going to this place. And i was not happy. I was on the go so i had no time to take it back.. i dont like to complain but this was ridiculous.
