Mandarin Chinese & Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Santa Monica

I came here for the first time yesterday and it was SO good!

We did order togo, but there are tables if you are planning to dine in. However, there is not a public restroom, but they did guide a customer through the back to utilize the kitchens.

The food took a little longer than estimated but it was also Halloween! They had a lot of togo orders, constantly getting calls and dings from mobile orders while I was waiting. I knew I found a good spot.

The person working the front was super kind she also placed my order over the phone. I have food allergies and they were accommodating.

We ordered fried rice, and they were able to make it without egg (which is standard), so you definitely know the food is made fresh!

We also ordered vegetable lo mein which was amazing! The lo mein had thicker noodles than I have had on the east coast, but I actually loved it.

I ended up getting the orange tofu and it was SO good! Still crispy even after a 15 minute drive home in togo containers. My husband got the sesame chicken and said it is the best that he has had in LA (high praise).

It was a large quantity of food, we barely made a dent and now we have left overs for the weekend. With getting a dish like tofu or chicken, a large rice could definitely be split between 4-6 people. Tofu dish or chicken dish could be split 2-4 people. The lo mein would be around 2 if it was your main dish, 4 if a side.

With purchasing basically 4 meals and including a 20% tip, I spent just over $50.

This will definitely be our regular, go-to spot for Chinese food! I am so...

🥡 I saw some food while I was ordering mine and I was amazed, I was looking so bad for a place where they sell really good Chinese food!

🥹 When we got home I couldn’t be happier, they gave us some fried strips (in Costa Rica they call them “SaHoFan”) and I’ve never seen anything like that around this area.

🎯 Our food was more than amazing. We got a fried rice with mixed protein ITS THE BEST FRIED RICE I’ve tried in LA.

😍 We also got beef and broccoli, egg rolls and a wonton soup! Everything was delicious, words aren’t enough.

We walked here to eat at around 8pm and the are still open up to 10pm.

The service is really good, but due to understaff issue, they only have take out and delivery. No dine in available here for the time being.

The food preparation is fast and the portion is generous, the flavor is just right. We like it spicy, but it is a bit too mild for us. Next time we will inform them in advance.

For the price, portion and service, they are really good. Soft spoken cashier girl and fast finish of the food, it is one of the best options here.

We will definitely come back again.

By the way, the packing is also very nice. They make sure the food is full and no room left. That is very nice for customers, especially the first time.
