Neomaya — Restaurant in Santa Rosa Island

Gonna start off by saying, im from north east oklahoma so expectations were really low & this place still disappointed me lol. Customer service was 0 stars. I ordered a cup of black coffee at 10:22 and didn’t receive it until 10:44. I work as a waitress myself so i understand, but 22 minutes for a cup of black coffee was ridiculous. Food was good but it was really expensive and also was cold when it finally came out. I got two breakfast burritos, a water, and a cup of coffee and it was $42. Also, the coffee that eventually came out was not good and she only filled the cup half way lol. Only creamer on my table was half and half. I saw around 8-9 different customers walk in, wait a minute then turn around & leave. It has a good vibe regarding the decor and location & decent food, but horrible customer service and it really ruined the experience. The girl that was working wasn't even nice a single time we spoke to her. Tables sat around dirty the entire time i was in there, which was about 45 minutes. Gave this place a 1 star because the food was kinda good even tho it was cold. Wait for food was around 30-35 minutes. Theres only 7-8 tables and the dining room is pretty small so if you dont like feeling somewhat cramped definitely dont eat here lol. Parking is not the best, but not the worst. Also its not clear where you order, and the girl was rude when i asked. Also wasnt clear if you were supposed to dump your plates yourself. The dessert did look yummy. This shop has so much potential. I think if they just hired one more person to help take care of customers, it would have been 4 stars.

I walked in and 10 mins before I even saw another human. Then we have to self order at the register and go sit.. ok, then we never got any water. And my cappuccino came out after my food. My girls didn't like the bubble tea, but that's on them.. I dont know how that stuff is supposed to taste, but 5 yo and 7 yo not liking it says enough, lol.

The food was not very good. I think the display was great. It looked like it tasted great, but in the end, my sante fe breakfest burrito was so grease it ran down my arms.. I had to use a dozen napkins to clean it. The waffles were too soft. Like almost bread, then a waffle. Then we had to wait 15 mins with no line to get dessert ice cream.

And being a single dad with two daughters... the waiting game gets old quickly.

They weren't even busy. Several people opened the door and left immediately because the shop was so tiny you dont expect it to be so small when you showed up.

Will not return, and I suggest you dont try. Sorry, I'm just being honest. Maybe again if they had faster service or more people working.. they seemed nice,...

Food is good. Service is not very prompt however. People crowd the cafes next door and I see why…. Customers come in and try to order. They wait 5+ minutes without any assistance so they leave and rather wait next door that’s why this place stays empty because it’s just not a welcoming feel. Even the girl at the front with a accent just left while we were inside. And then more people came up and left.. We noticed this happen twice now. It’s sad it’s hurting this small business with so much potential. You can take orders have them seated then work on drinks or whatever your doing until the food is ready. Multitasking is not for everyone, if I was local I’d offer formal training as an ex-restaurant manager and trainer on the matter. Unfortunate. Breakfast was good bacon was thin and crispy, sausage patty could use a stove top cook browned, danish needs to be toasted rather than microwaved. Makes it soggy feeling instead of a beautiful crusted. Eggs had flavor, hotdog was good and my americano was good. just small changes would really benefit this place which Is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Consider more breakfast options like French toast and pancakes....
