We ate here three times, not because we liked it, but because of the convenience. The service both nights was great. it was such a shame that the food was such a disaster. First night, we had the Pork Ribeye, and now that was actually pretty good. And by far the best dinner we had. The pork was well seasoned and tasted fresh and delicious. We also had the Involtino Di Pollo. Now, that was a disaster. It's supposed to be stuffed chicken breast, says so on their menu. But..... it was actually a leg and thigh quarter that someone had attempted to stuff and then overcooked, so all that it was stuffed with was cooked out of it. That was stringy and gross. The only lucky thing for the restaurant is that my wife got that, and she will never complain.

Now, the next night, we both ordered the center cut filet mignon. Medium rare. We also ordered the Mediterranean Dip Sampler. Now that was awesome. Delicious dips. However, our steaks arrived. Mine was cooked medium. And my wife's was well done, well beyond well done. Tasted of charcoal. We were comped a breakfast. Well, that too doesn't live up to expectations. We kept being told to have the smoked salmon. There was no smoked salmon. Don't prop up an item you don't even have. Everything else was moderately ok. This restaurant touted itself as being a more upscale restaurant with upscale food and service. The service was excellent. But the food was way overpriced and lacked the quality one expect.

Almost forgot. Instant potatoes, really? So disappointing.

Wanted to update this. I had an experience that might explain the potatoes tasting like they were instant. They may not have been instant, I had potatoes that had been sitting out a while, and when reheated, they tasted like instant potatoes. So either the potatoes were instant or old. Just wanted...

I was thoroughly impressed with my meal at Salt. My husband and I have been enjoying trying out restaurants with raving reviews around our hometown. Last night we decided to try out Salt. I made reservations online, and when we got to the location, we realized that this was located in a hotel- the Hilton. Reservations definitely were not necessary on a Monday night, as there was ample seating. Our server was excellent and made excellent recommendations. For our appetizer we ordered the crazy feta and the tzatziki with pita. The crazy feta was so insanely wonderful, I could have that just that for my meal. I ordered the chicken shawarma and my husband ordered the crab cakes. The chicken was roasted perfectly and had the best char on it. The mediterranean rice paired exceptionally well with it as well! My husband got the crab cakes that were almost entirely crab- he was very pleased with his dish! Only thing disappointing was that there was no dessert menu- just two different mousse options they had. Honestly, after that meal, we had no room for dessert anyways. We will definitely be back! If you're local- make sure you ask for the...

This restaurant is located inside a hotel—not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. We came here for Valentine’s Day, and it had a cute setup. They placed a rose on the table, which I moved to the side knowing it would just be in the way once the appetizers arrived. This somehow turned into a game with our waitress, who kept moving it back to the center. Not sure why, but what would I know—I’m just a “desk jockey,” according to her. (Her words, not mine.)

The charcuterie board was a standard DIY setup—nothing special, just the usual cheeses and jarred jam. Still enjoyable despite its mediocrity. My husband ordered his steak medium but got it rare. It was still good, but if you’re going to cook it however you want, why ask in the first place? The fish (grouper, the catch of the day) was overcooked and completely lacking seasoning—ironic for a place named after a seasoning.

Service was about what you’d expect on Valentine’s Day—rushed and a bit chaotic. When I mentioned the fish being overcooked, the waitress just said, “Oh, that sucks,” and moved on. For an almost $300 meal, I expected more....

I wish I could give it more stars but unfortunately it just fell flat. We were excited to try the octopus but had to send it back due to it being chewy and really hard to cut and then there seem to be a mishap between the front of the house and back of the house about firing another one, so another one never came, at this point we were pretty hungry I ordered the mahi dish with the salsa verde sauce, and seasonal vegetables that sounded good of zucchini, squash and peppers and was excited to get the dish until it arrived. The salsa verde looked rather like almost like lump turnip greens piled high on the fish, and the seasonal vegetables turned out almost something you would feed a pet tortoise or some other kinds pet. Disappointed to say the least, The fish was super overcooked as well. However the ambience of the restaurant is quite amazing. Too bad the food didn't match the atmosphere. This one was a miss from us. I don't like writing negative reviews but this needs to be shared.

Looking for an elevated dining experience on Pensacola Beach? Look no further than Salt, inside the Hilton. As a Pensacola local, we have many fantastic dining options, but Salt truly blew me away. The crab claws were, without question, the best I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned and infused with unforgettable flavor. We started with a luscious charcuterie board, featuring a thoughtfully curated selection of upscale cheeses, meats, and crackers. It was the perfect size to share, and I was impressed by the gluten-free options available for my husband. Every dish at our table was presented beautifully, elevating the entire experience. The cocktails were delicious. Amanda, our server, was exceptional. From start to finish, the service and food were top-tier. Salt is far from your typical “hotel restaurant.” It’s a true culinary destination on Pensacola Beach. We felt pampered and delighted, and we’ll absolutely be back for another unforgettable evening.

A newer restaurant nestled in The Hilton on Pensacola Beach!🧂🌊 I had been wanting to try this spot out for a while because of how unique the space and menu looked! Atmosphere: Located on the left-hand side of the lobby area of the hotel, the space has a modern, chic look with light brown wooded accents that go around the neutral space! Service: Our waitress was so friendly and kind! She continuously made sure that everything was all right and helped me to decide on what to get from the menu! Menu items: I got the Calamari for an appetizer, the Seafood Linguini for an entree with a side of fries; and their Blueberry Mousse and Chocolate Cake for dessert! The Calamari was salted perfectly, and the Blueberry Mousse might just be a new favorite in the area! I tried the dinner this time around but want to come back to try their brunch!🍳🥞
