Dave's Gourmet Ice Cream — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

I was lucky enough to be in the area and was able to try Dave's ice cream. The store is very nice and has lots of seating both inside and outside the shop. There is a small espresso bar as well inside the store, but the star of the show is the ice cream.

I was excited that this was liquid nitrogen ice cream, as it is often super smooth and as a texture lover, this is a huge bonus. Alas, they do not make the ice cream to order, but they do in fact make it on premises using liquid nitrogen! You can see the dewar(tank) in the kitchen window!

The staff was very kind, and very knowledgeable when we asked some questions about the flavors. They were all smiles and kind. They did not put up ANY fuss when we asked for samples. I know this is kind of basic stuff, but you know these days customer service can be lacking, but NOT at Dave's!

The flavors I chose were mint chip and triple chocolate. The cost was 7 USD for a "split single", at the time of writing. They were delicious!! The mint chip was very minty and did not contain green food coloring, and the chocolate tasted nice and dark. And the triple chocolate was uber rich and almost like a fudge brownie in ice cream form.

The nice thing about using liquid nitrogen to make ice cream is that it freezes the liquid base very, very fast and allows the ice crystals to be formed very small. Dave’s sandwiches are absolutely one of the best in town !!! Don’t forget about the onion rolls and the Dutch crunch super super yummy. Also don’t sleep on the sourdough sliced bread. You need breakfast trust when I say their breakfast is delicious. You can have a burrito a croissant or an English muffin mind blowing really good and convenient. Also did I mention that it’s all fresh !! their homemade ice cream is just a couple doors down, but they do sell some inside the store as well and oh my God I absolutely love the caramel latte ice cream!!! They also do a very tasty vanilla❣️ everybody who works here is absolutely has the biggest heart and is very kind. They will definitely help you find whatever you need and this is definitely the go to place for all your little desserts or savory treats or a great place to grab some good champagne beer and don’t forget to grab your lucky lottery ticket on...

The ice cream at this store is by the one the best I’ve had. I was looking to go to cold stone but it was to far. I googled ice cream shops and this was the only one open close by. I never had tried their ice cream here. I decided to come in and I’m soo glad I did. It’s way better than cold stone or any place like that by far.
