California Welcome Center - Santa Rosa — Attraction in Santa Rosa

Is this the state of California public services? We arrived on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 while driving up from San Fran to Trinidad on the 101 for a restroom break and get more info on our trip to Northern California. With signs along the 101 advertising the "Welcome Center" for 30 miles along the way, it seemed like a logical place to take a break! Unfortunately, we arrived to a closed facility, with several homeless people making it their temporary home... This is nuts, and uncivilized for everyone involved! UPDATE: Yes it is clear the facility is closed (via Google), but driving down the 101 googling each stop ahead is not safe.... how about adding a bright orange decal to you signs before the exits on 101 (at least the last 1 or 2) indicating closed? also what about keeping the...

I remember when this charming little historical building was a boarded up ruin back in the 90s. I am so glad they decided to restore it and turn it into a museum and visitor center.
