My mom who is disabled in her 80's was humiliated and could have been severely hurt because of this incidence. Two managers at this location, Kevin and Dan, know about this incidence and yet they have not responded to our request to make a formal complaint against Nakita, the employee. I was also told that Ivan, the head store manager, would be told but he hasn't responded either. So I reached out to the corporate office and after taking my complaint a week ago, they haven't responded either. So it appears that no one at Walmart cares about how this employee treated a disabled elderly woman.
This is what happened. My dad was shopping in Walmart in the Santee location while my mom waited in the car. Suddenly she desperately needed a bathroom. She couldn't get to the walker in the trunk by herself but thankfully there was a shopping cart right next to the car that she was able to lean on as she walked to the bathroom; she can't walk without assistance. When she got to the bathroom there was a long line of woman waiting for the bathroom. My mom had diarrhea and it only got worse as she headed for the bathroom only to find the long line. So, she decided she had no choice but to go into the men's bathroom but before she could, Nakita (name may be spelled wrong), the employee, stopped her and said that she couldn't go into the men's bathroom and that she'd have to wait for the ladies. My mom explained it was an emergency and that she needed the bathroom right away, but Nakita continued to argue. My mom headed in regardless and Nakita said "you can't take the cart into the bathroom." My mom explained that she can't walk on her own and needed the cart to walk. So my mom headed in to the bathroom, but because Nakita had tried to stop her, she didn't get to the toilet in time and soiled herself. Then while she was in the stall, Nakita came in and took the cart out of the bathroom. My mom reminded her from the stall that she was disabled and needed the cart to walk, but Nakita ignored her and took the cart out anyway. It took some time for my mom to get out of the bathroom without the cart she needed, but she used the sink to lean on to walk most of the way and then leaned on the door as she asked for someone to get her a cart. This was very embarrassing for her as everyone in the womanâs line had seen and heard everything, she soiled herself due to the delay, Nakita took away the only thing that she had to help her walk, and local and corporate management have not responded to our calls in hopes Nakita would be talked to so that disabled customers aren't...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible. This store needs new management and team members. Saw a product online, Walmart(.com) for $19, I asked to price match Walmart(.com) because they had it marked up to $30 in the store. A customer service employee said they do not price match for Walmartâs own products on their website! I asked her to show me where it says this and she said âMAâAM I DO NOT HAVE TIME.â I asked to speak with a manager and she pulls out a folded piece of paper and said they do not price match (she was reading this paper wrong), but if I ordered for curb-side pick up then I would be able to get the lower price. Iâm truly blown away by this poor example. I will be addressing this theft of my money with corporate.
EDIT: I forgot to mention how unorganized this whole store is, all cold food items are in the freezer section, in the middle of personal care. Zero bakery. Zero produce. Is there a funding issue with this store? Iâm surprised since they are stealing money from customers by creating their own policies. Then the carts are basically blocking the entry/exits- that should be a fire hazard, they bring all of the carts into the store. Finally, management also doesnât seem to care that there are multiple transients/homeless in the parking lot harassing customers, asking for money and people selling tshirts/burritos in the parking lot. This is totally bizarre. Someone get this place under control.
EDIT: I went to this store again, reluctantly. Had to grab a few last minute things. I go to self-check out, but I forgot my shopping bags at home and I refuse to pay more than 10 cents for a plastic bags every time, itâs just ridiculous to me. I did purchase one and just tried to fit as much as I could in there. The rest of my groceries I just loaded into my cart, no bags. The employee standing at self-checkout came over to me and literally asked me âso, are you going to pay for those items separately?â I wasnât even finished. I told her⌠no, itâs all on one bill, I just didnât use a bag. She was watching what I was ringing up on her tablet⌠really weird. She realized I actually did ring them up. Felt very much like she was trying to accuse me of something. This walmart is just đ, NEEDS FUNDING/BETTER MANAGEMENT &...
Read moreI have been looking at getting a full set of tires and as I looked online pricing them out Walmart consistently came out on top with the price of the tires and installation charges. That led me to decide which Walmart had which tire that I wanted and found it available at the Murphy road Walmart. The problem was nobody at the Murphy road Walmart would answer the phone. The automotive department did not answer in the main line did not answer. The first time I called the store in Santee somebody picked up the phone explained how the system worked and what the cost would be so I decided to make the drive to Santee from El Cajón. Scott came right out as soon as I pulled up even though you could see they were very busy and as we quickly discovered about this used vehicle I had purchased, it was going to be a challenge to find the right tire. Scott help me to find out that I had a undersized custom rim and he when inside to see what he had available and came back in a few minutes with a couple of options that were both good choices. He looked for openings on the calendar for Saturday or Monday but all of those spots were full and I needed to get out of town so I went ahead and left the car there that afternoon.
What about 3 hours later I had four new tires at the right price with a good warranty for 65,000 miles and found everybody very easy to work with and incredibly polite. Having not done a lot of business with Walmart in their automotive aspect the actions of Scott and his team there in Santee have earned this particular Walmart the right to my future...
