Out of the DD from Palmetto to Sarasota, this one is my favorite and preferred. The staff are professional they won't make any unwanted comments. They are polite, friendly, welcoming. They work swiftly as they train new hires, bake and cook certain items, ,and change stock. These are the people who wake up early even before their coffee to make ours. The service is relatively quick. It does not take as long as other places. The atmosphere inside is quite, neat looking, sometimes you find a few people n working on laptops inside. Well lit and decorated nicely. From what I have experienced the staff connects they engage they remember orders they do wonderful, they are kind and friendly and helpful and patient. A majority of the reviewa I see here are for drive thru to delivery.
Ordering in person in the store is always the easiest and faster service. Mobile ordering works well so long as you are at most 5 minutes from the location. If you want warm foods such as bagels and sandwiches or wraps.
It's good to mention and note that this is a wrap around drive thru. So larger vehicles might have more difficulty queing.
It is in the middle of a parking lot as well. So between regular traffic and the parking lot and pedestrian foot traffic, your wait time is going to be extended since customers don't pay at the voice box. Each person who has ordered mobile pickup or in person att he registers will get your coffee faster at times then others. As you can't guarantee how large the cars order is in front of you. It's basic business logic.
As for the Uber eats issues. That is not always the fault of the store. You're depending on other people. Which while Uber eats has better drivers in my experience then door dash. You have to rely on the people who drive and pick up your food to ensure they are getting the whole order. If you miss drinks or certain items it's possible that between the customers at the window. And register and the possibility someone picks up your items at mobile pick-up by accident that isn't your driver. Then it's fair to say that the location and staff are not fully responsible for the mishap. Especially if Uber eats refunds you.
If you want quick food coffee then visit the inside of the store, where you can purchase cups, dog toys, and coffee pods and ground coffee.
If the wait is so long, let me be the one to remind you, they do not get paid the best, the minimum wage is controlled by the state and government. Not always is it the fault of the company. This isn't a rocket scientists job, and yet they wake up and deal with cranky moms in drive thru screaming at their children, some of the employees may be teens themselves, if you're a CEO or just simply in a rush, you should have left earlier, made your own coffee.
However out of the basic criteria to define a good branch this is the best.
As a Massachusetts person born and raised, I know a good Dunks. I also know good people and great employees. And this location shows that.
In Florida In this area a lot of the other locations it's Pervy creepy managers, teens that aren't listening, or cranky older employees and bad locations. The parking lots out here and design of the locations is sometimes meant to get you to go inside.
So for heavens sake just go inside the store if you are looking for a...
Read moreThe absolute WORST and most appalling experience I’ve EVER had at any Dunkin Donuts or ANY restaurant I’ve ever been to. For starters, my family and I walk in and get told to be quiet because we were being “loud.” We have a large family, and it’s not our fault that they literally had the music BLASTING. When we get up to give the ridiculously rude cashier, Paige V., our order, she had the absolute nastiest attitude and I’m surprised she could see what was on her screen since her eyes were rolled so far in the back of her head. I was standing there and couldn’t believe how she was talking to my family, so I decided to go last to give her some negative feedback. I told her that it didn’t matter how busy she was, I work retail too, NOTHING justifies the way she treated us today. She laughed when I asked her her name and told me to “go ahead” because she “didn’t care.” As we were waiting for our food, she kept “whispering” under her breath that we were rude and she was going to spit in our drinks. That’s when I stood there and made sure she didn’t spit it in our drinks by looking at her. She finally aggressively asked me “ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP STARING AT ME?!” To which I responded “uh, yeah, I need to make sure your saliva doesn’t end up in our drinks..” to which she responded that she was going to get me kicked out. For what?! For looking at her?! She then turned around and yelled at her manager Nicole (who was listening to this whole thing happen and literally made NO effort to help or offer any sort of solution) to kick me out because I was staring at her? Get real Paige-you literally get PAID to help us. You don’t get paid to talk about customers in front of them. The level of professionalism was non existent and I’m curious to know who even trains these people?? When we asked to know the store number because frankly we couldn’t let this pass, we were told to “call 411.” Real classy. Nicole & Paige, this isn’t over. The only reason they’re getting a star is because the new guy michael was super nice and he had nothing to...
Read moreUpdate: I have to lower my stars because it just seems that the owners of these establishments have done nothing to fix the long waits, the lobby is always closed and the hours are constantly changing, the coffee is burnt 85% of the time. I’m just not understanding why they are having a difficult time running these two Dunkin’ Donuts? Sometimes I’m like oh okay it’s lack of staff, but I always see at least 3 staff on duty. I’ve seen Dunkin’ work with two staff with both lobby and drive thru and never have this issue! The system you have is obviously not working. ——————————————- I’m a regular at both this Dunkin’ and the one on S. Tamiami and both Dunkin’ are experiencing the same situation. Lack of staffing! When the employees aren’t being overwhelmed they are really nice. But management needs to step in for organization. They tend to close the lobby lately & leave the drive thru open on Tuttle location. That’s fine only thing is that since the drive-thru has so many open ways to cut into the line it gets quite frustrating. I’ll be waiting at one end of the drive-thru and then someone will come from another end and basically cut in front of 5 cars. If drive-thru is going to continue to be the only access to the Dunkin’ they need to set up signs indicating the proper line up. Also, has management or the owner thought that maybe they need to step in because if this continues they will continue to loose great employees from over working them and loose customers because of long waits, inconsistency, and employees end up being rude due to being overwhelmed. There has been many of times I’ve gone to both locations and they would be closed without signage. From being a regular and speaking with staff briefly I’ve gathered that the owner is the same for both locations and they just need to seriously step it up! They just need to try different strategies to see which one works best for both staff and consumers alike, if they are going to continue to have not...
