Pho Licious — Restaurant in Sarasota

Was in the mood for Pho Cali but they don't belong to any delivery services. Tried Pho-Licious instead via UberEats & so glad I did! It arrived quickly, hot, and so fresh. I had the vermicelli platter with lemongrass beef, shrimp, and chicken. Comes with bean sprouts, mint, scallion, lettuce, carrots, chili oil, peanuts, & that vinegar-y juice (cannot find what it's called!) I mixed it all together and it was phenomenal. I've seen reviews about the lack of meat, but this dish definitely didn't lack any. I had a piece of meat in every bite. I also ordered a side of broth just in case I wanted to make a bit of "pho". I could only eat half of the platter but did have some sips of the broth after and it is also excellent. Great flavor profiles. What happened to Pholicious?? We have been a loyal customers for the last few years when we found out about this place.

Lately, all our orders are smaller in portions and even though we still ordered because that’s how much we like it… until today!

We have our favorites and usually we order the same things.

Today instead of a Pho soup with beef, they sent us chicken, instead the regular 2 egg rolls, we got 3 mini different ones, the fried egg noodles were cold, looking and tasting different, they were refried or older noodles and the veggies that came with it, were a half portion instead of a full portion!

Again, we have been eating there so many times we are thinking either this place changed owners and are under different management or this place is going downhill big time. This isn’t the first time the order was wrong, but now with today’s issues, we are not going...

I think this place was fantastic for downtown Vietnamese. Of course I can’t eat like back in Vietnam, but it’s pretty close. We got the summer rolls, one beef pho, one beef dish, and a vermicelli dish. All good choices, flavorful and filling. I just can’t give it 5 stars because im a food snob and have been to Vietnam.
