REVIEW #2: I mentioned previously that I would give this place another chance, and I'm glad I did. Since my last visit, the restaurant temporarily closed for staff training, and the improvements are evident. Today, my waitress was attentive and friendly, promptly bringing water, taking our drink order, and then efficiently handling our meal order. As noted in my earlier review, I've always appreciated their cuisine, and once again, the food was delicious.
In fact, I enjoyed it so much I'm returning tonight to pick up dinner for my family. This restaurant has truly stepped up its game and is now a place I strongly recommend trying. Great job turning things around—it's officially earned a spot on my weekly lunch rotation!
REVIEW #1: I had high hopes for this new restaurant and am willing to give it another try in a few weeks, but my recent visit was disappointing. The staff, clearly inexperienced, failed to greet us properly; instead, we were awkwardly signaled to approach a reception stand before being seated. Our waiter initially took our order but later informed us they were out of an item. The chicken dumplings seemed and tasted like they were mass-produced, paired with a bland sauce. While the pork sandwich was delicious, it was served without the accompanying main dish for other diners at our table. Moreover, the chicken parm sandwich arrived with the chicken still cold inside, suggesting it was pre-cooked and insufficiently reheated. Although a second, much better sandwich was provided, neither came with the promised French fries. It wasn't until I had finished my meal and inquired that the fries were brought out—15 minutes later. We were also not provided napkins and plastic silverware without requesting them multiple times.
Upon paying at the reception desk, there was no inquiry about our meal or overall experience, nor any thanks or farewell gestures.
The restaurant desperately needs a seasoned front-of-house manager and comprehensive staff training to improve the dining experience. This could be a...
Read moreThis place is a mixed bag. When you first walk in you’re greeted with a fresh open floor plan, a nice change in scenery here in Sebring. The only complaint I have is the music was slightly too loud, felt more like a bar than anything in that regard. I ordered the pho with the Vietnamese meatballs, crab rangoon, shrimp dumplings, and a boba. My hopes were raised after trying my first bite of the crab rangoon, it was wrapped like an egg roll, and all of the thin layers were nice and crispy, the inside was definitely better than other places I've been. The portion size for the mini plate/desserts were rather small to share but should be more than enough for one. The shrimp dumplings were nothing to write home about, quite bland filling. I had to soak my dumpling in the sauce just to really enjoy it. The pho was probably my least favorite thing there to be honest, overall very bland once again, I believe the menu said it was fresh noodles… I’m not too sure how fresh they are, so I can’t really comment on that, but I did have one big clump of noodles that I had to agitate to break them free of one another. The boba was my most anticipated item on the menu, I’ve only ever had REAL boba (tapioca, not popping pearls) in Sebring at Cang Tong, so I was excited to try it from a new place. The flavor of the tea was pretty good, but in my opinion the tapioca was over cooked and mushy, cang tong is like, $1-$2 more, and they’re more expensive for a reason. In all this place needs some time to settle in Sebring the staff was friendly albeit slightly green, but hey I can’t fault them for it for such a new place, I enjoyed the service thoroughly and I do hope they add some more customizations to their menu when it...
Read moreI was very excited to try this place as Pho is my favorite food in the world and there was none in Sebring. The service was very slow and disorganized. Many times all the servers were crowding the drink making area and this caused us to get our food almost an hour into our visit. The lychee lemonade was also just minute maid with a little lychee syrup. And my wife ordered the Alfredo with the chicken and the sauce was flavorless.
The only decent thing on the table was the pho I had but it was a cheap version of real pho. Real pho is served with a plate of lime, bean sprouts, basil, and jalapeños and you're given a soup spoon and chop sticks. They gave me a plastic bowl and almost forgot to ask me if I wanted the soup spoon, which was also plastic. You could tell the kids that were the servers have never been to an actual pho restaurant.
This place is trying to be too many things at once. Vietnamese, Italian, and a juice bar. If they want to stay viable they should dedicate themselves...
